I'm unbelievably happy over the fact that Toru Minegishi and Shiho Fujii managed to outdo themselves with the final boss theme in Splatoon 2 after the first one was such a banger! Mostly based on his Korg X5DR remake of the track, but tried to fill in elements from the original version of the track.
It's basically verbatim, done as both ear and FM design training.
