It’s a cover of “The Night” originally written and performed by one of my all time favorite bands “Morphine”. 
I just recorded the piano and the vocals live together while I was just playing the song and after that I put the rest on the tracks and went for it. This cover comes nowhere close to the original obviously and my respect and gratitude towards Mark Sandman, Dana Colley, Jerome Deupree & Billy Conway is infinite. Their music, sound and songs had a huge influence on me. And it will continue to do so. Always inspiring and beautifully pure. Magic.

The Crying Gun - Faded

This song originally written and performed by the great late Townes Van Zandt is called "Highway Kind".
For this cover I tried some different things, so it's not like a "copy" of the original, just acoustic guitar and vocals, I wanted to use the songs mood and approached it differently. It became its' own kind of thing. So, don't roast me, I love all songs by Townes and I hated what Willie Nelson did with "Pancho & Lefty".
I'd say this cover version by me is worhthier than Nelson's Pancho and Hancho joke..... But listen for yourself and however you enjoy it or not, Townes should be kept alive and "fresh". And the only way of doing that is by playing his songs hoping it'll open the door to the beautiful world of Townes Van Zandt and his songs.
