"NEED U 2 NITE" is inspired by a rare track from Dexter Wansel & Junior released in 1983. In the same line as his previous releases (DNAM, FreshTake, GLBDOM or HustlerTax), Brooklyn Baby brings a new freshness as deep as groovy for a timeless housy rendering.  Also on the release is a remix from DOUNSA in a pure french touch vibe. For those who don't know, he was part of Lazare Hoche from the beginning and contributed to their first releases (LH Edits, I Don't Sync So) and label launch in 2012.

Discos Capablanca return with a record from the mysterious Detroit-based Sharif Laffrey (we know little more than his place of birth, and that he likes to ride his bike and warm weather) who brings the heat on the Turn It Up 12". Recorded in Detroit in the late 80s and released on a cassette tape compilation in 1988, the original "Turn It Up" is a long forgotten gem from the period that Electro was beginning to morph and mutate into nascent forms of Techno. Excavated by Hugo Capablanca's label, the track is presented in an edited version that stays true to the original and complemented by an Acid Dub Not Dub version that implements plenty of deranged 303 action.

Heimat tells his immigration story from Iran to Turkey and then to Canada, by the symbolism of a journey through the desert, in his new EP Message from Above. He weaves traditional Persian scales with 80’s analog synthesizers, drum machines and modern electronic sounds. Each of the songs reveals a layer of emotion combined to Heimat’s experience with socio-political oppression related to mass immigration in the Middle East, the connection to his Persian roots, his foresight of the bigger picture and hopes for the future.
