Faz uma semana que acabou o festival da @veludobh e eu ainda tô meio preso nessa experiência. Voltei de lá bem inspirado, cheio de vontade de fazer música e de voltar a me envolver com essa cena que eu amo tanto, mas que acabei me afastando no último ano.

Parece que eu vivi de novo aqueles sentimentos que me fizeram me apaixonar pela cena de música eletrônica em 1o lugar. É sim sobre a música e sobre as inúmeras apresentações inspiradoras que os artistas entregaram. Mas também é sobre esse sentimento de comunidade, de pertencimento, de sentir que ali eu tô em casa, que aquela é a minha galera. Construir novos laços e reforçar outros que já existiam.

Um agradecimento mais que especial ao time da @veludobh por resgatar a minha fé na cena. Isso que vocês tão construindo é fora de série e eu só desejo vida longa e próspera ao projeto 💜

Um agradecimento também aos artistas, alguns deles amigos queridos. Foi muito especial e inspirador conhecer o tanto de talentos espalhados por essa nova geração da cena BR, cada um com seu estilo e personalidade. Deu mó orgulho, papo reto.

Passei essa semana pós festival grudado nas CDJs, meio nessa onda de inspiração. Revisitei várias pesquisas antigas, misturei um monte de coisa de épocas e gêneros diferentes e hoje botei pra gravar essa sessão que acabou durando 3h (dava pra ter continuado mas fiquei com fome kk). Um pouco de tudo que eu amo - house, techno, trance, breaks, dos 130 aos 134 bpm e carregado na psicodelia.

A driving force of rhythm from Brazil’s underground, RHR (@rhrmusiq) grew up in the favelas of São Paulo, where the raw pulse of the streets, from the directness of rap to the fire of funk and the thunder of drums, became the foundation of his life and the essence of his sound. It’s a sonic DNA that makes his work impossible to imitate. Whether channelling techno infused with grime, or reworking bass, dancehall, electro and baile funk, he bends each form into something feral and untamed, igniting heat and blood rush on the dancefloor.

To date, RHR has released five solo EPs, each one a kind of sonic document, mapping the layered histories and realities of São Paulo and translating them into electrifying soundscapes. Alongside collaborations with Mamba Rec, Omnidisc, Pac Recs and Nice and Deadly, he is also a core member of New York’s TIJOLO Records, leaving a distinct imprint across the global underground network.

On his birthday, we are honoured to share this special mix, a journey deep into Brazilian culture, both rugged and refined, primal yet intricate. It stands as a mirror to the country’s underground: wild, turbulent, and utterly magnetic.

 A word origin in Taiwanese dialect, which refers to the intermittent misty rain carried by the outer circulation of a typhoon—an omen of its arrival. This imagery also symbolizes GUG’s gathering of artists, creating endless new possibilities.
Across local businesses throughout Taiwan, we curate collaborations between DJs and sound artists, using music to capture and document their unique atmospheres, cultures, and authentic experiences.
