Welcoming new and exciting artists to the Particles roster is one of the label's prime directive. As a new Argentinean artist arrives on the roster with and assured debut, Guhus marches into the Particles catalogue with "Triple Step".

A self-confessed, "audio fanatic, ocean lover and tech geek", Gustavo Tazzoli is a relatively new name to the underground dance fraternity with his Guhus production moniker. Based in the cosmopolitan Buenos Aries capital and taking the dance scene by storm, Tazzoli is a firm fan of the broad electronic music sphere be it progressive, techno or ambient. Thus, for Guhus, the genre is less important than the underlying "deep soul music" that lies within, based upon its healing properties and the childhood nostalgia it creates.

A portfolio of impressive production credits sit proudly next to the Guhus name that has grown steadily since an October 2015 debut for Massive Harmony. Since then Tazzoli has been a regular on the label with standout offerings in the shape of "My Karma" and "When the Doves Cry". Balkan Connection South America, Suffused Music and PHW Elements have continued to champion the Guhus name with the latter responsible for "The Road to Hana / Beachside Ocean" EP in May 2017.

Supported by a host of high-calibre DJs including Nick Warren, Nicholas Van Orton and Simos Tagias, Particles is now delighted to feature Guhus and his creative three-track "Triple Step" EP. The opening track sees "After the Rainbow" traverse a deep, hypnotic path with its intricate percussive groove, pounding kick and subterranean bass pattern. Fuelled by a swathe of hi-hats, a shimmering melody flows effortlessly across the upper frequency spectrum in freeform glory. Pausing at a stripped back breakdown, a gradual build sees textured pads and vocal ‘aahhs' come to the fore in a wonderful aural collage.

"Returning Home" revels in sublimely cadenced plucked chords while a wash of atmospheric effects flow across the stereo spectrum. Accompanied by a textured vocals pads and a low-slung groove, the track puts the listener in mind of sun-soaked Ibiza terraces at sunset with its delicious summer vibe and seagull ambient effects.

Already supported by Argentinean icon, Hernan Cattaneo, "The Golden Sines" cuts a somewhat darker figure with its metallic percussion and hypnotic groove. Anchored by a deep kick and cavernous bass groove, the luscious, textured pads that are a central theme within the Guhus sound, continue to reap rich dividends. Pulsating in side-chain symmetry, a glorious freeform melody emerges at the mid-point breakdown in blissful, muted fashion. Merging with driving beat and house rhythm in the third movement to mesmerising effect, Guhus skill and technique is in bountiful supply.

With his "Triple Step" debut on Particles, Guhus is dancing into a very bright future.

A long-association with Proton Music, Andre Sobota impressed once more with his outstanding "Alter Ego" EP in February 2019. With remixes of "Held Over" already finding their way to the Particles catalogues in April 2019, the EP continues to provide remix ammunition for Australian and Argentinean icons.

Matty Doyle is an artist that will be fully familiar to dance music cognoscenti under his Matter pseudonym. An Australian phenomenon, Matter has risen to the upper echelons of the underground fraternity with a vast array of original and remix production material that has catapulted him to the top of the Beatport charts on numerous occasions. Thus, work for Replug, Anjunadeep, Sudbeat and onedotsixtwo, both as solo and collaborative artist, has provided the Melbourne star with a 24-carat portfolio. 

December 2016's "Pronoia" and November 2017's "We Are Dust" have seen Matter hit the headlines on Proton Music, while co-production work with fellow Melbourne resident, GMJ, has seen the duo score a number of additional triumphs. Both solo EPs have featured with remixes on Particles before October 2018 fired "Re Entry" to success alongside Universal Harmonics. Returning to remix on the label for the first time since November 2016, the Matter reworking of "Dreamless" is typically impressive. Aptly titled, his "Dreamstates" remix is full of ethereal pads and delicate melodic motifs that revel in sumptuous delays and deep kick. A trademark pulsating bassline adds further to the track as Sobota's vocal phrasing then finds its way to the aural party in tandem with a host of additional production material from the Matter armoury.

Finally here’s my set from the Progressive Astronaut boat party we had in London a couple of weeks ago, it was an honor and real pleasure to be part of such an amazing line up and to be able to warm up for the legends; GMJ & Matter and Moshic <3 . I had so much fun playing at this party and feel so happy when I look back and think of all the smiling faces on the dancefloor. From the bottom of my heart <3 huge thank you to Jessica for asking me to play at this event and hats off for all the hard work you put into organising this gig and the success you made of it. DJ, producer, label owner and party starter, for the past 20 years DJ Zombi has been an integral part of the Israeli dance music scene, carving out a career that has cemented his name in the annals of music industry folklore.  

As a young man, Eli Baltsan quickly realised that dance music was his passion. Moving to the rave hotspot of Tel Aviv in his mid 20s, he began his exciting sonic journey as DJ Zombi, and by the turn of the century, was DJing underground parties across the country. Influenced by everything from Dub Techno to ‘80s Pop, Zombi moved easily from deep and afro grooves through to more powerful progressive flavours making him a surefire hit at any party. 

Only a short few years later, tales of his deck skills saw him compile ‘Inspirazzia’ for VP Records, a sub-label of Domo Records which catapulted DJ Zombi into the international limelight. A debut European tour was his first foray into the world of the jet-set DJ, leading on to many years of international performances (which continue today) at some of the worlds finest venues including Pacha and Universo Paralello in Brazil, Strawberry Fields in Australia, Ministry of Sound in London and Cube in Tokyo. But it was a festival in Portugal that brings him his fondest memories: “Boom Festival has always been very special to me. It was the first festival I travelled to as a clubber.” He says, “So to close that main stage was an unforgettable experience.” 

With international success now under his belt, DJ Zombi longed to make his mark at home, in Tel Aviv. He began a weekly party at Maxim Club which he nurtured for 5 years to become one of the premiere parties in the country. Around the same time, he began to collaborate with fellow artists, notably Astronivo, to make his own tracks. Signings to Sprout, Vapour, Flow and more confirmed his attention to detail and ear for a tune. By 2008, he had teamed up with Felix Nagorsky and began the Weekend Heroes project which became a runaway success. Dipping their toes in the more commercial side of the industry brought them into the orbit of artists such as Deadmau5 and Criss Willis from whom they learned a great deal, it also allowed them to play bigger and better venues for international brands such as Pacha, Ministry of Sound and Global Underground. 

After a few years, DJ Zombi once again felt the pull of the underground and decided to create a new record label, Beat Boutique. Now in its sixth year, it is ranked in the top 15 progressive labels and boasts a wealth of talent among its back catalogue including D-Nox, Cid Inc and Dousk, and it’s showcase events at some of Israels leading venues, The Cat & Dog, The Block, Bootleg, and Terra Open Air. His strong work ethic and commitment to the scene has cemented the label and DJ Zombi in the hearts and minds of music fans the world over. DJ Zombi has also enjoyed solo success in recent times with tracks signed to Anjunadeep, Sudbeat, Chapter 24, Armadillo, Plattenbank, Sudam and top 100 singles such as ‘Breakfast of Champion’, ‘Una Musica’ , ‘Internal Affair’ and ‘Broken’. 

Reinvigorated for the new decade, DJ Zombi has never been more ready for success.
