A music afficionado since an early age, the refinement comes from a
sound both sophisticated and elegant .
He draws his inspiration from ambient, 
symphathetic and friendly melodies which results in a sound that is sometimes utopian or melancholic. Next to obvious feeling-inducing chants, 
Amstra knits it together with brutal armour-penetrating techno. 
A concise and rhythmic raw percussion base underneath idyllic 
synth riffs and weeping and bleeding pad movement.

With over a decade of experience, Tehotu has
emerged as a versatile force in the techno scene.
His sets are a unique blend of cultural richness,
fueled by years of commitment, passion, and a
deep sense of sharing. This amalgamation of
knowledge and mastery creates a magical
experience for his audience.

Having left a significant mark on renowned clubs
such as Tresor, RSO, Renate, About Blank,  Gare Porto or Rex Club, Tehotu is
not just a DJ but a skilled producer whose music
has garnered recognition from a wide range of
techno luminaries. Scheduled releases on
esteemed labels such as Analog Solutions,
Methodical, Inguma, and Sinxergy further
underscore his influence.

Based in Berlin for the past decade, Tehotu's sonic
imprint extends to Berghain, resonating with the
iconic venue's ethos. As the founder of Sinxergy, he
has signed iconic techno figures, gaining support
from key players in the industry.

In 2021, Tehotu launched Pattern, a prominent
streaming radio in Berlin dedicated to promoting
artist independence. Through Pattern, he
showcases global artists with live performances
every weekend in the city's iconic basement
venues.

For Tehotu, techno is more than music; it
embodies fundamental values, a message
consistently conveyed through his DJ sets,
productions, label, and radio initiatives.
