Every forest, every mountainside, every city has a unique sound atmosphere that will rub off on the music it has inspired.Architecture and urbanisation blend with the environment to form increasingly complex and unique audio-visual screens.

Each natural or urban environment therefore plays its own music. The unique experiences of the inhabitants of a village or a street blend together over time to create a common historical narrative; to build, strengthen and continuously develop a latent identity that gives substance to a characteristic artistic current.

Berlin's current identity is unique. It has grown out of the ashes of a

 A breathless, divided and unequal world to give birth to a futuristic, creative and unifying structure.

Techno has flourished here like no other. Only this city, at that particular moment in history, could generate the reference in electronic music that we today call Berlin techno.

For their first EP, the Berlin duo Rafao chose Ghara Records. This EP, named Riga, in honour of Rigaer Strasse, is the result of the sounds and stories that this street has produced and still produces. It is the synthesis, a vibrant and authentic sound fresco that plunges you into the spirit of the alternative and anti-capitalist neighbourhoods that are the very essence of Techno with that crazy desire for a radically different tomorrow !
