Who would have thought the highlight of my 2025 Australian tour would be down by the docks in a small underground club just outside the most remote city in the world?

Sometimes the things that surprise you are things that stay with you and this set was one of them, three hours of playtime warming up from an empty room to sweat dripping from the ceiling.

Direct and sincere thank you to all the dancers that showed up and stayed with me and helped create an insane atmosphere, I'm glad we can relive and revisit the vibes you created.

Kali Malone & Drew McDowall share a two-hour mix for NTS in celebration of their new album Magnetism, out November 7 on Ideologic Organ. The selection drifts through drone, minimalism, ambient, electroacoustic, folk, and sacred music, featuring many friends and collaborators whose work continues to shape and inspire them. The first half features Kali’s selections, with Drew taking over in the second.
