For REC009 we are excited to have a new face join the Reconsider family - Ayan. All the way from India the multi-talented artists has been making waves in the scene with prior releases on Applied Magic, Marginalia, Urge To Dance and many more. His captivating productions have shaken dance floors from Mexico to Berlin and he has already shared the line-up with international heavyweights such as Dixon and many more.

REC009 is a collaboration with the Felix E and Michael Ritter, who as the founders of the imprint Reconsider need little introduction. The main track 'Plane of Pleasure' is an energetic house track that dominates with classic, yet time-less chord stabs and a solid groove in its foundation.

The second track, 'Dream Scheme', impresses with its sound design and dominant baseline. With its harsh, metallic stabs on one side and vocals on the other it creates strong contrasting soundscapes - a unique listening experience.

'Everything We Started' rounds of the EP on deeper, groovy note - balancing woobly bass sounds with stabby synth sounds on top. All around, the EP perfectly blends classical house elements with sound design of the new era - so make sure not to miss this one.

We are super excited about this one, we fell in love with these guys after their performance at the 2018 edition of Rainbow Serpent. Its a really pleasure to have them join our podcast family.. T

Mononoid are Andy Godderis and Igor Shumlyanskiy. Members of the Traum family. Mononoid is all about connecting art and music evolving into their own unique sound. Their music is a mixture of cinematographic and melodic techno.

Andy and Igor started a techhouse production duo in 2006, called Stereo Sandwich, in which they had their first experience producing dance music with each other. After releasing several EP’s, they soon noticed their sound was evolving. They started experimenting with deeper, more profound productions and realized this new sound had grown too far apart from what they were doing before; this was a whole new project altogether. They took the word ‘Mono’ (as in solo) and the word ‘nooit’ (Dutch for never), basically meaning ‘never alone’ and Mononoid was born.

In 2011 their music was picked up by Traum Schallplatten, offering them a place in the Traum Family. Soon after they released their first remix for Microtrauma’s “Emilia”, which got great feedback. Their remix of “Echoes Reality” is nothing less than a trip, with a deep grove and great chorus. In May of 2012 their first own EP was released on Traum, ‘Protoplasm’ which has been received brilliantly. In September of 2012 their second release ‘Concept Of Cures’ was released. The EP stormed the Techno releases charts soon after, resulting in a solid top 10 position on Beatport.

Mòo & Jo return to Mobilee keeping their ethos of traditional African instruments with a deep and melodic house aesthetic close to the forefront.

What strikes you first about “Munuli” are the jazz tinged vocals of Awen, delivering an almost ethereal sound; that brings to mind worship and fervour as the chorus join for a peaking vocal melody which transcends genre with it’s authentic and standout messaging.

The stripped back drums provide a melodic tribal tempo that lends itself to anytime of day or night, for one of those rare and perfect uplifting dance floor moments.

The other elements at play interweave themselves with Awen's vocals, building into a beautiful crescendo that isn’t often found in clubs today; the raw melodic synthesizer meets a classic piano, giving a flashback to a classic sound with heartfelt chords and creating a track that will both stand the test of time, and provide an honest reflection of what people want to dance to in 2020.

The EP then concludes with “Expand”. It delivers an altogether different story, an energetic and suspense filled peak-time melodic journey; whose spoken word story encourages you to “Expand your mind, free yourself”. Needless to say, this energy coupled with the growling sultry bass of “Expand” ensures that it will be finding its way into the bag of the most discerning club selectors this Spring.
