Turf Wars (2015)

Demo I composed for a future concept album with my band colibrium, about the war against insurgency and against ISIS, it's purposelessness, and the misconception of the origins and intents of all Muslim extremists' aggression, propensity to violence and reasoning behind their volatility. A stern message to all who take sides instead of tending to the reality of humanity; that all humans are never born to be purposefully malicious for the sake of it without any influence; that those born into a world filled with violence and fear, raised by centuries of generations worth of dislocated people afflicted by torrents of invasion or pillaging, have no possible alternative but to comply and feel moral obligation to subject themselves to becoming murderous and destructive. These people have been displaced and destroyed for hundreds of years, in particular, in the past century, and thus has caused epigenerational infliction of vigilant unionism and begetting children with the same profile of anger and religious extremism. To attack and to raze even the most extreme sects of these people is to contribute to their rebellion, their counterwill, their ever-compounding need to proliferate insurgents and to cause terror to the innocents of our countries just as we have done to them. 
These types of songs/messages are never directed towards any government body or authoritative collective involved in the realising of warfare, as all interests are invested in financial systems integrated in their economies. However, the messages can still be sent to the people, so as to help steer people away from side-taking, and to look at the big picture. To fuel the division is to fuel the dis-integration of all. When faced with such an immense multi-cultural, multi-religious society, it is imperative to recognise the need for compassionate understanding rather than hostile repulsion; for hostility fuels counterwill in all immigrants of all backgrounds, and contributes powerfully to the widening rift between citizen and migrant. Which is worse - integrating and accepting, being compassionate and understanding, regardless of difference, or being detached, feigning ignorance, and remaining vigilant?

The latter fuels the aggression of all displaced immigrants. Think before you decide you've taken a "moral" stance on national and cultural sovereignty.

Are you Guilt Free?

Since selling out their debut EP entitled ‘The Freedom to be Told’ Guilt Free embraced the positive feedback and commenced the production of their debut LP.

Recorded at Adelaide’s premier studio ‘Mixmasters’ it’s due for release early 2015.

Guilt Free is: A 5-piece rock powerhouse, harmoniously collaborating to offer both discerning and casual listeners complex yet inviting songs. The roots of rock's rich history are always leveraged, drawing influence from several decades of stylistic transition. Lyrical content raises more questions than it answers. Through diversifying their approach as creativity requires, they refuse to nut shell their efforts - but will always be a rock band first and foremost.

Live music is what they do best. Spending their early years performing at any venue in front of any audience on any night of the week, they honed their stage presence to become a polished live act. They blend all elements of rock, perform with energetic intensity, stimulate and ultimately entertain audiences.

Guilt Free is a statement open to interpretation.
