As a Dj Papa Guincho a.k.a. GNZ plays across the board, serving up a melting pot of dub, beats, electronica, deep house, techno, bass, indie dance and plenty of goodies that don’t fit into any category!

Papa’s first encounter with mixing was in late 1997, when a friend played him some of his  classic Chicago house and Detroit techno records, opening his eyes and ears to the art of mixing records. Soon after he was constructing his own jungle, dub and trip hop mixtapes, inspired by the spirit of the time and various radio shows on Radio One and pirate radio stations across UK.

Since 2002 Papa Guincho decided to mainly focus on and play music he truly likes instead of specific genres. By selecting music from all across the board its possible to take a listener or a dancer on a truly unique journey through music.

I no longer want to limit myself to 1 genre of music, even though I prefer music in high tempo.
