Standard Deviation continues its Vinyl series with another Split release, aiming to foster intercultural exchange, collaboration and friendship between Ukraine and the international community. For the second Vinyl project, emerging Ukrainian musician Omon Breaker shares the stage with Berlin based Mala Junta Resident D.Dan.

The Split format is a musical dialogue between two worlds, backgrounds and histories. With Mala Junta resident and Seattle raised D.Dan on the A-Side and Kyiv based, Dnipro-born Omon Breaker on the B-side, the record aims to reflect on both their individual experiences and musical journeys, as an honest statement of their current works spanning across D.Dan’s high-energy Trance and groovy summer Techno towards the EBM and 90’s style influenced works of Omon Breaker.

United by love and respect for electro, breakbeat, UK and garage music, the project has simple ethics: computers not allowed, just drum machines, physical gear and vibes.

Mr. Shady Tape opens the A side with a proper 909 workout and Кассета on the mic. Legendary DMX Krew is on the remix duties, delivering a classic sounding rework. Closing the side are RLGN from the Private Persons clan. Please repeat — but wait, there is also side B. Dr. Moog is a romance between 808 and the Moog synth itself, inspired by 90’s Trance techno hit from Da Hool - Meet Her At The Loveparade. The more flex flow of Dr. Moog is an antipode to the insane and funky side of Mr. Shady Tape. Kovyazin D tops the EP with a signature acid house take. TIP!!!
