10 years on from the conception of Outtallectuals in the form of a Facebook community, we're delighted to still be here, finetuning the label's signature sound in a never-ending global creative soup.

Accordingly, 'Liminal Lore' celebrates OUTTA's first decade through a predictably collaborative roster, featuring the label regulars, as well as new contributors such as Bulgarian legends, Ivan Shopov and Theodossii Spassov, cinematic bass producer, Boketto, the deep ambient psychedelic dub techno duo of Arkaean and Unsung I, and POAN, Lo.Renzo's ambient side project with Giacomo Barbari.

The concept of 'Lore' is sonified through the 'old world' influences of the album; through the sounds of nature, bulbul tarang, banjo, g clarinet, darbuka, hang drum, sarangi, slide guitars, violins, flutes & tribal percussions. 'Liminality' is, of course, through the celebration of a shifting decade, an in-between milestone for the label.

Youth’s downtempo label Liquid Sound Design (LSD) launches a brand new series — Future Horizons — designed to delve into the plethora of incredible new music surrounding us. Future Horizons aims to celebrate the fresh sounds from friends of the legendary label, as well as bringing undiscovered artists into the LSD family fold. 

The Lanquidity EP kicks off with one of psy chill’s best kept secrets, Flux Natura, whose gorgeously dreamy ‘Same Heart’ sets the scene for a collection of lush melodies that beautifully mix the organic with the electronic. Saafi Brothers’ ‘Dub Places’ ramps it up a notch and as the name suggests takes us on dubbier trip, a carefully crafted atmospheric journey that is far from languid. Next up, Globular’s Special Trip Remix of Antam Yar’s ‘Voyage’ continues the fluid funk, a deliciously tribal jaunt into the psychedelic realms of downtempo. ‘Dreamcatcher’ is a signature sunshine-kissed Kuban Dub Lagan track, a collaboration with Gumi that raises the tempo and the spirit. Finally, TSP’s ‘DeMeTrius’ takes us on a trippier escapade, Tor.Ma in Dub’s twisted psychedelic stamp merging perfectly with IshDub’s melodic dubby sounds to end this superbly curated collection on a properly grounding old school roots tip.

Gumi is a downtempo elastic journey created by the prolific Tel Aviv producer Maor Hasbani.

In the late 90s Maor was engulfed by electronic music and started avidly collecting CDs and vinyl. Genres such as Ambient, IDM, Breakbeat, Acid, Space Rock, Jazz Fusion and so on, inspired him deeply and set him on a life mission of self-expression through music and sound.

By elegantly fusing bold basslines, tribal rhythms, psychedelic atmospheres and ethnic melodies - Gumi’s modern production and analog sound has set a blaze some of the best dancefloors on the face of the planet. 

Also responsible for the internationally renowned psytrance project ‘Skizologic’, Maor has already rocked Boom Festival, Psy-Fi Festival,  Rainbow Serpent Festival, Chill Out Planet Festival, Tribal Gathering Festival, Doof Festival, Samsara Festival and Dakini Festival to name a few, as well as extensively touring Japan and the USA.

After releasing two critically acclaimed EPs, Gumi is set to unleash a full debut album in 2021 presenting his new spectrum of sounds and sophisticated storytelling. Stay tuned!
