GUNGANO Records is an African record label dedicated to promoting and celebrating the rich tapestry of Afro House and Afro Tech music. Based on the continent, GUNGANO champions emerging and established artists, providing a platform to showcase their unique sounds and innovative beats. With a focus on quality and authenticity, GUNGANO Records is at the forefront of the global Afro House and Afro Tech movement, driving the genre's evolution and captivating audiences worldwide.

We are RISE, a Berlin based collective and label with cosmopolitan roots. Our members are Hyenah, Walter Griot, GHEDI, Jane Ryse and Ukai  Collectively our members are from Nigeria, Angola, Congo, Germany, Senegal and Ethiopia. We are heavily inspired by African House music, and equality, diversity and social justice is at the core of our identity.

We strive to create spaces where people can feel safe to express themselves, no matter their ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, or social status. 

We aim to distill and deliver some of the core tenets of African music, namely dance and emotion, to provide some color and warmth in Berlin’s harsh grayscale palette.

Bringing a truly fresh and unique approach to Afro House, Nitefreak is one of the fastest-growing DJs/Producers coming out of Zimbabwe. His musical journey began in 2009 as a self-taught DJ and Producer, and by crafting and evolving his sound over the years, Nitefreak has received praise, play, and support from Diplo, Black Coffee, Keinemusik , and many other globally renowned acts. He is managed by the Forbes-recognized label Deep Root Records which is owned by frequent collaborator and mentor, Francis Mercier.

His music has been featured on esteemed editorial playlists such as mint, mint South Africa, Black Coffee’s track IDs, New Music Friday Dance, Electronic Rising, Deep House Blend, Tantra, Haitian Heat, and more. From releases with Magic System on Spinnin/Warner Records to collaborating with BLOND:ISH and the 3-time Grammy nominated duo Amadou & Mariam on US powerhouse record label Insomniac Records, Nitefreak has amassed millions of streams, been featured on Billboard, Forbes, nods from Tiesto, Vintage Culture, Keinemusik, Gorgon City, Nore en Pure, Calvin Harris, BBC Radio 1, has reached the Top 5 on Beatport, and even composed music for the UFC’s official documentary for the Cameroonian-French mixed martial artist, Francis Ngannou. Nitefreak was also selected as one of 1001Tracklists’s ‘Future Of Dance 2022’ artists and continues to make international waves across the underground electronic music scene.

Driving with devotion and skill united, Belgium’s lifelong producer and DJ Nico P brings an edge of gratitude and experience to electronic music.
 
Backed by two decades immersed in the scene, Nico’s smooth and ethereal sound combines precision and passion to connect with audiences across the board.
 
Inspired by the unparalleled embrace of dance music at Belgium’s top clubs as a youth, Nico P took to Deejaying back in 1998 and has since carved out a lasting pathway. From intimate local events to gracing stages at renowned clubs like Brussel’s legendary Fuse and Lier’s La Rocca, Nico soon found himself sharing stages and decks with indie heavyweights Gabriel Ananda, Eelke Kleijn, Undercatt, Lehar, Nico Morano and has a monthly set on Belgian national radio Tipik.
 
His repertoire boasts festival sets at Extrema Outdoor, Sunrise, and Ibiza Beach Festival, a performance at Belgian’s high-profile party Ketaloco, and the DJ currently hold a residency with Deep House Belgium (DHB) – a landmark aspect of his growing career since becoming a member back in 2016.
 
Committed to music in every regard, Nico’s time spent on the decks is matched by his work as A & R and label manager for DHB. The label has grown exponentially since 2019 and has seen a variety of tracks played by the likes of Black Coffee, Magdalena, and Fideles, to name just a few.
 
Promising live sets of varied appeal thanks to extensive musical knowledge, Nico also releases original music as a producer of Melodic House, Techno, Progressive, and Afro House. Several 
releases have reached the top ranking spots on Beatport, not least of all his remix ‘Soundlimit – Elements Bizarres’, which hit an unparalleled #5 in Progressive House Tracks. His single ‘Anamata’ also reached #30 for Afro House, and all releases continue to amass thousands of streams monthly.
 
Noting connection as crucial in his journey, Nico has been blessed with the support of artists far and wide, with promotional shout-outs emerging from Solomun, Oxia, Kevin de Vries, Nic Fanciulli, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Aly & Fila, Maxim Lany, Airwave, Soul Button, Quivver, Gai Barone and Steve Parry; to name just a few.
 
Nico’s confidence in the studio and on stage is balanced with eternal gratitude and love for the role he’s able to maintain within an ever-evolving world of electronic music.

Music has guided the life of German-born producer and artist RANCU since he began his journey at age 7. He has played in many bands, written numerous musical pieces, and performed and DJed across Europe and Africa. Starting with songwriting on the guitar, he used groove boxes in the early 2000s to produce German Hip Hop and Rap. By 2009, he transitioned to digital production with NI Maschine. Influenced heavily by Dance music, RANCU has been DJing since 2007, starting with Traktor software and later moving to CDJs and Rekordbox. He is an instrumentalist (guitar and percussion), vocalist, and digital producer.
