The girl in this song was written as the kind of person I wish I could be. I wish I could cover up heartbreak with nonchalant comments or come across unbothered when hurt. But that’s not me. This song is my way to vicariously live through a melody. It’s sarcastic, petty, lonely, angry, and a heart jerker all at once. It embodies some of the stages of grief in a breakup and the different coping mechanisms of dealing.

“brown paper bag” is the first song in the twelve chapter musical story of my life.

Whether protecting me from hyperventilating after a race or being my only friend during high school lunch, the brown paper bag has always been by my side, literally and figuratively.

This song is the beginning of my journey. The 12 songs and 3 EP’s coming out in 2023 are the road map of my life, through both emotional and mental health challenges.  Each single pulls back the curtain a bit more, and I’m so excited to share each piece with you.

I hope my music can help people by showing that no one is alone and that everyone faces obstacles.
