Mature songwriter. I am on a mission to bring melodies back into rock and pop. Songs are about a variety of subjects. Influenced by retro British and American acts like The Beatles, Queen, David Bowie, Slade, Deep Purple, The Smiths, The Who, Paul Weller, R.E.M., David Gilmour, Roger Waters, The Verve, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Pink Floyd, The Jam, Blur, The Clash, Oasis, The Stone Roses, The Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and various other bands of the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's

Ever since I was a little kid, I've enjoyed playing and creating songs, and now I share my songs here in odd chance that someone else might enjoy them too. My influences are many, but I tend to gravitate towards progressive rock and metal and the epic and symphonic.

For my music, I do composition, arrangement, vocals and all instruments (except drums, those are programmed) and the mixing myself in my little home studio.

I've been on Soundcloud for six years now and it's been great exploring the work of other artists.  There is so much generosity of spirit on this platform, it's just what you need when most of your music is made solo. 

I started out playing classical and Spanish guitar, then took up flamenco to ease myself away from the confines of musical notation. As a result, Latin rhythms often creep into my music. 

A friend introduced me to steel string and electric guitars just a few years ago and I still find the scope they bring dizzying... but what fun!

Making music - in my case - is a creative exercise and something I like to do for recreational purposes, above all.
I love that anyone can take a guitar, their DAW, or whatever. Even just pen and paper, and come up with something special and unique that has never been heard or written.
This opportunity, regardless of experience and talent, to enter a universe and go places no one has set foot before, is magic. 
To draw a parallel to soccer, Im a non-league player, and would get attention for all the wrong reasons if I were thrown into a match with Salah, Haaland and the like. Still, by finding my level I can be part of an amateur team that serves a purpose in a local community, like a social meeting spot for people who like football - or don't - to come together, get into talks through a comment on a situation in the match and such. And you know what's coolest of all? Once in a while, when the sun and moon line up, I`m on a streak with my evening prayers or for some other reason have my day, I make this amazing dribble, then score a spectacular goal, becoming the local hero of the day or something. Those moments happen on all levels. Chances are perhaps even better on lower levels for this dribble to never have been seen before, since amateur football is not as controlled and professionalised as La Liga, Premier League, etc, leaving much more room for experimentation and individual creativity.

In fact, the artist becomes the genre. My compositions are heavily influenced by progressive rock, post-rock, and classical music. My most Influential composers/musicians are Tony Banks, Richard Wright, Jeff Lynne, Steve Hackett, David Gilmour, Robert Fripp, Phil Collins, Keith Moon, Erik Satie, Claude Debussy, and Modest Mussorgsky.
