Phelin & Dionyce team up for a deep, dark and underground house two-tracker on Gregori Klosman’s Guru imprint. With Parisian label bang in form and getting towards of their hottest year to date, the Innocent Hooligans EP once again highlights both Guru’s dexterity and desire to push the boundaries.

“Hooligans” is built around the combination of a whirring bassline and dirty synth line. There is tension in the air right from the start as eerie FX soar in the upper echelons of the track. The deep, grumbling and whirring bassline then adds the drive before that nasty, distorted synth comes in and churns the balance of the track. Snapping rhythms inject pace as the track surges with an intoxicating, urban spirit.

“Innocent” is an ever deeper bass-driven cut that brings in a garage-influenced edge. The bass and synth work are cranked even further too, tearing through the centre of the track like a frenzied machine. The woozy electronics that fuzz over the top creates the perfect lead for the devastating bass to crash in and create its damage.
