LIKA - álbum "born in London"

Após um longo período de jejum depois de lançar o álbum duplo “Love Is Freedom” (2007, via Wired Music), o DJ e produtor catarinense Lika apresenta seu mais novo trabalho: o álbum “Born In London”. A nova obra é uma espécie de busca obsessiva pela originalidade, apostando numa sonoridade híbrida, que inclui vertentes como house, electro, trance e ritmos brasileiros.
After a very long period of inactivity after releasing the double album “Love is Freedom” (2007, wired music) Catarinense DJ and producer Lika presents his new work “Born in London”. The new musical work is a kind of obsessive searching for originality, gambling on hybrid resonance, which includes strands of house, electro, trance and Brazilian rhythms	

“Born in London” teve seu processo de criação iniciado em Londres, em 2008, quando Lika passou cerca de um ano na capital inglesa, imerso em cursos e empenhado em dar conta de um objetivo maior, que fosse além de produzir música eletrônica de um modo anônimo, indiferente na percepção de quem ouve.
The process of creation of the album “Born in London” started in London, in 2008, when Lika spent about one year in Britain’s capital, attending courses, and trying to reach a bigger goal instead of just producing electronic music and not caring about the perception of the people who listen to it.

E como um belo e maduro resultado, talvez a grande sacada do novo trabalho tenha sido o fato de o produtor procurar absorver a cultura londrina em suas faixas, algo que fica nítido nas ótimas “Good Vibration” e “The Gallery At Turnmills” – homenagem do produtor a uma das melhores noites de trance da capital inglesa, onde Lika passou memoráveis noites durante sua estadia em Londres.
And as a great and mature result, perhaps the zenith of the new work had been the fact that the producer was trying to absorb the London Culture in his tracks, something that becomes clear in the great “Good Vibration” and “The Gallery At Turnmills” – homage to the producer of one of the best trance nights in the British Capital, where Lika spent memorable nights during his stay in London.

A forte “pegada” progressiva, já registrada no álbum anterior, continua sendo a linha conceitual para a qual Lisandro direciona seus esforços no estúdio. E a ela adiciona elementos que sugerem uma viagem ao Reino Unido, mas com um pé no calor afetivo brasileiro: vocais, loops, efeitos, grooves fortes, riffs de guitarras e mensagens de conscientização pela preservação do planeta.
The biggest progressive catch, already recorded in the previous album, keeps being the concept in which Lisandro directs all his effort in the studio. And in it, he adds elements that take the people on a trip to the United Kingdom, but with a little Brazilian influence in the : vocals, loops, effects, strong grooves, electric guitar riffs and messages saying about how to preserve the planet Earth

Sem grandes pretensões, Lika conseguiu criar uma sonoridade definitivamente nova, alcançada com empenho, talento e uma inquietação artística absolutamente fora dos padrões. Nada de fronteiras, nada de referências óbvias. “Este álbum não teve um caminho, cada música foi criada conforme seu tempo”, relata o artista, que deve ser motivo de orgulho para a conceituada escola Alchemia College e para o conceituado produtor musical Steve Travell (Travski), com os quais aprimorou seu conhecimento musical.
Without having great expectations, Lika could create a new definite sound achieved with commitment, talent and an artistic restlessness absolutely out of standards. No boundaries, no obvious references. This album was not a path, each track was created according to his timing, says the artist, who must be the reason and the pride of distinguished school Alchemia College and the renowned music producer Steve Travell (Travski) with whom he honed his musical knowledge.

Mais do que um sugestivo segundo álbum de uma carreira promissora, “Born In London” reflete a criatividade, o talento e, sobretudo, o padrão de qualidade internacional obtido por Lika em seus anos de imersão na música eletrônica.
More than an evocative album from a promising career, “Born in London” reflects the creativity, talent and above all, the international quality achieved by Lika in his years of immersion in electronic music.

Now, something about me:
Born in Blumenau, SC, Brazil, a small german city in the south of the country, my musical exploration started when I was about 8 years old while my father would play old disco vinyls at home. As I grew having different life experiences, when he started into into the dance scene in 1998 at the age of 16 years old.
My real taste for music began once he moved to BC Beach (Balneario Camboriu Beach) the so called " South American Ibiza where going out in places like Warung (14th club in the world as in DJ mag top 100 clubs edition of 2009), Kiwi club, Green Valley (3rd best club in the world as DJmag's list for 2010) and so many others. Following the tendecies around the world into the electronic music, my style could be defined as a refined fusion mix of progressive electro nu rave minimal tech!! Meaning that is a variant of House music with deep grooves, psychodelic touches and lots of energy!!!
	In 2005, I moved to Sao Paulo and expanded even more he's musical embracement going into minimal house and minimal tech parties, rave parties where psychodelic trance would be playing and clubs like, Club A, D-edge ( 9th club in the world as DJ mag 100 clubs 2009) and The clash club (48th in the 100 2009 DJmag's list).
 Finally in 2007, after moving to Dubai, UAE, I played a few gigs in places like the Cartier year celebration party@ Jebel Ali Marina, Brazilian Nights in Dubai at Jimmy Dix@Moevenpick Hotel and also at Music Room@Majestic hotel , RAVELATIONS in Spirals Club@Grandeur Hotel and private parties around the UAE and the world getting all the experience for my next steps!!!

Finnish electro/techno duo Ural 13 Diktators debuted already back in 1998. In short time they released two successful albums and dozens of singles/remixes while touring around Europe and Japan, including huge events like Mayday, Love Parade and Wire.

After a serious electroclash hangover Ural 13 Diktators stopped releasing new music for over 10 years. In 2013 they came back with a genre breaking two track comeback EP “Tivoli” aimed to cause havoc on the alternative dance floors.
