Making a speed-of-light rise to fame, the flag-bearer of trance music proudly presents his first official compilation. Andrew Rayel, rising from a new generation of talented DJ’s and producers, introduces you to ‘Mystery of Aether’ with the official sampler!

You’ll instantly recognize his sound, blowing the minds of millions ever since his first tracks ruled the radio waves of A State of Trance. Highly supported by Armin van Buuren, is Andrew’s remix of Airbase record ‘Modus Operandi’. A highlight to many, and a beacon of hope for the trance purists. 

Andrew Rayel isn’t the only name to keep an eye on though. French producer Alex Wackii leaves a great impression with his ‘Marianne’, one of the biggest tunes on ‘Mystery of Aether’. An real anthem for the peak-time hours.

Last but not least, Malta’s supe rstar team Tenishia closes the deal. ‘Pantera’ is their mystery tune of choice. A tune that screams nothing but big, bigger, biggest!

Downtown Party Network already come with an excellent pedigree of disco licked tunes for quality imprints like Eskimo, Is It Balearic? Recordings and Dirt Crew. And so the debut appearance on Futureboogie seems like a most comfortable fit, with the ‘Disco Ball Drama’ extended player providing three shining examples of delicious grooves.

Title cut, ‘Disco Ball Drama’ cuts a familiar beat with a rolling and gritty acid-like arpeggio, the classy pads smoothing out the rougher edges and providing huge swashes of sunshine moments on this real mid-season winner.

‘Keep On Running’ on the flip side turns out a heads down, boogie-fest, with its elastic bassline, deep Rhodes chords and lively percussion doing the business here.

Closing the release is ‘No Drama Afterhours’, going down the cosmic alley for a slightly deeper cut. Spatial pads and looping syth arps gently collide over the swinging disco drums whilst the bass plays out an infectious melody, one for the ‘afterhours’ indeed.

Looking back at 2016, Jeremy Olander could make a case that it was his biggest year so far...

He launched his new label Vivrant which saw 4 out of the first 5 releases make it to number one on Beatport, and he also took the brand on a label tour across 5 continents which included a sold out hometown gig to 1200 people alongside Henry Saiz, Finnebassen and Charlie Don’t Surf. His Talespin EP on Suara made it to number one on Beatport's Top 100 Releases chart, and the B-side, ‘Panorama’, sat at number one on the Progressive chart for impressive 35 days straight. On the remix front, Olander notably reworked  ‘LETTERS’, the Sailor & I and Eekkoo collaboration released on Big Beat/Atlantic - a remix which is quickly approaching 1 million streams on Spotify.

2017 is well set to be even better: The ‘Damon’ EP is out now on his own imprint (the first release from Olander this year); upcoming is an collaboration EP with past Balance Selections compiler Cristoph, and a non-stop tour schedule is ensuring the Vivrant label owner is taking his sound globally.

For this podcast the Swede has delivered a mix which feature an exciting amount of new Jeremy Olander productions: 'I’ve included a lot of unheard stuff to make it stand out and show people what I’ve been working on lately.’ Olander told us, 'Most of these I haven't played at any shows so I'm excited to try and gauge what people might like by the reactions’. And we can only think the reactions will be positive. Jeremy Olander has gone above and beyond to deliver something special.

We also wanted to make sure that the track would be fitting for Don Diablo's label as we wanted to release the record on HEXAGON. We went for a gritty bassline with a recognizable melody in the drop so people can go crazy and feel euphoric at the same time.
