Noir & Hayze are back with another collaboration after almost 3 years.

As with anthemic 2011 smash ‘Around’, ‘Angel’ sees Noir and Hayze join forces to unique effect, with the pair combining to produce another surefire slice of dance floor gold that sidesteps current trends with confidence.

Like ‘Around’, there is a deep message and meaning that resonates through the vocal and, as with many of Hayze’s songs, it screams the sincere emotion both listeners and ravers alike will relate to.

Riding high on the critical and internet success from November’s Ballin’ Oates, The Melker Project is at it again with Red Hot Trilli Peppers. “On this epic offering, The Melker Project mixes six Red Hot Chili Peppers classics with the likes of Future, 2 Chainz, Dr. Dre, Tupac and everyone in between.” (BroBible).

His 5th EP focusing on a single classic artist, Red Hot Trilli Peppers was a formidable project. “I've been listening to the Chili Peppers since I was in middle school, and have always wanted to remix their songs – they’re the sh#t! The breadth of their catalogue is astounding, so it was tough to choose the perfect tracks." Melker says.

The Melker Project’s methods are truly a labor of love, as he replays most of the individual instruments with updated sounds and synths. He then uses these new sounds to remix the tracks, and later reincorporates samples from the original Chili Peppers songs. After all of this is done, he combines his new versions with appropriate vocals. Melker explains, ”In the case of ‘Breaking The Girl,’ I decided to do a straight up remix with the vocal being the only element of the original track.

Zig was a very dear friend of my family. He was the first one to encourage me to make electronic music when i was a kid. He let me play around in his studio, and helped me make my first music ever. 

He was also a pioneer. His band "69" was amongst the first to use sinewave generators in music. This was in the 60s in germany. 

This is my humble ode to an old friend.

An old pairing of Lucidflow favourites in the shape of Helly Larson and Riccicomoto are back for another outing. Lucidflow's familiar dub-tech template is in full effect across the EP, but this is more about languid summer grooves than the clenched grasp of autumnal gloom.

Magnetic Swift [Love You Edit] manages to simultaneously weave together contradictory elements of effortless keys with driving bass, flecked with specks of vocal gasps. A shade darker, Doppler Effect is similarly driving, the dub atmosphere sharply twanging with frozen strains of saxophone caught in the distance.

The analogue hiss and crackle in Voyager provides a brief threat to our golden groove, the merest element of guitar and swell of strings adding to the instruments on show across the EP, before Solaris takes the tempo down to ease you into a slow burning wiggler of a dub.

Label owners Klartraum step in with a typically widescreen remaining of Magnetic Swift, leading in sludgy dub chords and radar blips before dropping into a fat and warm break, tying off a package of consistent quality and ever-deep beats.
