"It's just a hobby!"

I bought my first guitar about 10 years ago, I was 56 years old. I had wanted to learn long ago and decided with my early retirement, now was a good time! I had no musical experience but with the help of many YouTube videos (mostly JustinGuitar.com), I started to learn. Along the way, I wrote my first original song and started videoing and recording my music, both originals (@lenaloise) and covers (@lenaloisecovers). My first song was posted about 5 years after that first guitar!

My music "hobby" has really grown since I started! Many guitars, pedals, gadgets, equipment! But it's a hobby! I work hard for every note and learning this instrument at an older age is different from starting in your teens! My page is a mix of things that I enjoy in my "hobby"! I record "almost live" with minimal takes and editing. I strive for fun, not perfection, and I learn as I need to for that enjoyment!

The new album BACK TO LAND: out now 🔮

Umbrellabirds is Sam Blickhan, Lewis Daly, and Alex Hunt. The band began as a long-distance recording project when Sam Blickhan and Lewis Daly began exchanging demos in 2013. Alex Hunt heard these sparsely beautiful demos and initially signed up to produce, but was soon recruited as a full band member. The intricate, autumnal debut album was recorded in 2014-16, the product of many late nights and countless miles of travel. Oda Almås played strings on the self-titled debut. Shortly thereafter, the band began work on their second album—Closing Ceremony (2020)—featuring a bigger sound and a wider collective of musicians including Shyam Prasad on drums, Will Harvey on strings, and Cath Day on clarinet. Their third album—BACK TO LAND—was released in November 2025, further developing their signature indie-folk sound. Umbrellabirds have been played on BBC 6 Music by DJ Tom Robinson and featured on the BBC Introducing Mixtape.

Februar 2021 - update
So! As from now we have changed our username!!! Stupidity made us belive, that this would not be making a huge difference - and now it is to late!!
Our old site name was: user-194941814
It's now clear, that all the comments we ever made and all friends we ever interacted with, can't find us at all, using this name... well... lesson learned.. guessing only a few remembers our band name, we hope that we can reach out to each and every one, in time.. until then our former username is stated here - so if anyone really is searching - they might find us somehow.. 

Well - it is what it is, and we'll find eachother eventually!

December 2020 - update
This chaotic year, turned our project upsidedown - the good thing is: Next year proberbly will be better! 
We are not happy about the changes to the Souncloud community, but it just might be good to get out on other platforms as well?
Well - Contagious will be our salut to 2020

Well... the covid19 situation really changed our plans for this year... 
So! We spent our time, finding out how to stream live concerts on facebook (youtube locked danish users down... so yea - facebook)
We hope to be ready to livestream before to long!

Avanted was formally constructed in 2017, and contained a vision to expand musical experiences. Mixing ol'time and new time soundings, into melodic chaos.

Just nutheads playin' around, tryin' to find over all reasons, and output to the input. 

Bandmembers is IshaBo, the supreme guitarist and composer, LR the great bassist, that both are a lifegiver to Linnéas inner-crazy-society-creatures, tryin' to find a voice. 

The rest of the bandmembers is imaginary, lovin' and thankful to the great creators of plugins of all sorts, and ofcourse the mighty creators of Cubase.

We are so happy, you will take your time to listen to our ideas, and hope you will leave a comment and/or a like.

Autodidacte en tout depuis tout petit. Je pratique la musique de l'âge de 18 ans. Je ne l'ai jamais apprise seulement joué.  J'utilise Cubase. La dernière version plus Mercury de Wave et un komplete kontrol MK2 S88. J'essaie toute fois de créer des pistes qui vous emportent la ou vous voulez aller.
