Derick Stokes, better known by his stage name Wordplae, is an American recording artist from Warren, OH. In 2013, at the age 23, Wordplae began his career alongside friend and fellow Ohio artist Mark Dixon, better known by his stage name, Young Cap. The duo joined forces on many projects such as "Erase Me," "Still Down," and "Double Cupped" ultimately joining together to create the rap duo known as "Cash Mobb." The dynamic duo began making quite the name for themselves releasing hit after hit as well as gaining the attention of several industry A&R's. After 2 years of working together the duo decided that Young Cap would focus more on producing the music and Wordplae would focus more on rapping.
