Having launched 2016 with his 'Octavia' EP, Lost & Found boss Guy J returns home to kick start 2017, with a new double-header born out of moments in time, inspiration and a quest for a specific sound. 

"MDQ is named after the airport code of Mar Del Plata in Argentina," says Guy. "I played there with John Digweed earlier this year at MUTE. It's a party on the beach and, for me, was the best I've been to in my life and not just as a DJ." 

MDQ beautifully recreates and projects the warmth of the sun, uplifting vibes and postive energy that Guy felt on the sand that day. Its melodic charm and passionate delivery lifts the listener, transporting them to that most southern of shores. 

Diagonal, on the flip, was born more out of necessity. "I needed something with a transitional feel for my sets. A track that would allow me to segue to the next part, up the tempo and deliver a more groovy and seductive magic." 

Another delicious brace from the Lost & Found boss and a perfect selection to soundtrack the new year.

With their first collaborative project Artfaq and Ezequiel Arias land on Cid Inc’s Replug Records with ‘Babel’. Hailing from Cordoba, Nacho Ferroni and Nacho Varela make up the Artfaq production team. The Argentinean duo have found favour amongst progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while finding a home on Antrim’s rapidly rising Or Two Strangers imprint. Similarly, upon making his debut in 2013, Cordoba resident Ezequiel Arias quickly became a favourite of the two storied DJs as well, eventually leading to releases on Guy Mantzur’s Plattenbank Records, Sudbeat Music and Suara. Also a member of the Replug artist roster, Ezequiel made his label debut in November of 2017 with a contribution to the ‘Defined 01’ collection. Now making a welcome return to the Finnish imprint, Ezequiel pairs with label debutants Artfaq for a highly anticipated EP. 

Comprised of two tracks it’s the title piece ‘Babel’ which leads the release off.  Putting your emotional centres on high, a bed of warm beats and hip swinging rhythms set the stage for a full, driving groove. Redolent effects add an astral charm as the first act unfolds, while fragmented melodies are gently teased as the main break commences. Coming to full realization yet tastefully indistinct, it’s a musical narrative for the astute connoisseur, delivering a profound emotional message before smoothly transitioning into a groovy finale. 

Rounding out the EP is the equally stunning ‘Polaroid’. In crafting a smooth rolling groove, the Argentinean trio have fashioned a strong foundation, complemented with hypnotic pulses and percussive drive. Charming in design and emotive in delivery, harmonic phrases slowly engulf the framework, carrying the piece into joyous second act. As the bassline melts down, melodic motifs converge, opening up for moments of exuberant warmth and hopeful reflection, before a pulsating final act unites rhythm and groove for devastating dance floor dynamics.  It caps off a hugely successful collaborative project from three of Argentina’s most highly touted artists. A meeting of music minds where the end result further cements Replug’s ethos of delivering unique and exciting projects.

Morvan has re-connected with the dance music world after living in Holland and collaborating with DJ/producers such as Don Diablo, Muzikjunki & Peter Gelderblom to name a small few while DJ Sean McCaff has been a firm fixture throughout New York, Ibiza and the Netherlands since 1987. His production credits are equally impressive with the likes of Little Mountain Recordings, United Records, GrooveTek, Waterloo Productions, Hard Time Recordings, Spiritual Records, Vibe Records U.K. 

This release contains a radio edit aswell as a remix from Guy J, well known producer with releases on Bedrock Records and some famous Belgium re-mixers such as Keatch (Dim Mak and Boysnoize Rec), Grimelock (Stainage Records) and Dutch producers Koper & Tin from Triplefire Music. Each applying their distinctive trade mark sound with quartz accuracy.

Our 30th chapter comes as a prestigious and unmissable pack that renders homage to a past EP of the Sudbeat factory: Japanese Snowbell by Hernan Cattaneo and Soundexile. This release has a very particular flavour and it is composed of two tracks that will also be playlisted in Hernan Cattaneo's new compilation for Renaissance.The first track of the EP is a remix signed by one of the most talented producers of the global electronic scene, a name that has been part of the Sudbeat family since its dawn and that boasts releases on the best labels out there: the Tel Aviv born Guy J. Once again his unique and personal touch is easily recognizable thanks to a solid swinging groove in which background oriental melodies rise naturally and fluently up until a dreaming breakdown in which energies seem to soften. But it's just an illusion. Because Sharing Is caring, here is one of the highlights of Hernan Cattaneo's SunsetStrip Buenos Aires, a very simple mashup that contains mainly one of my remixes from last year i did for Sebastian Sellares on Or Two Strangers  and some parts from all time progressive classic John Creamer and Stephan K feat Nkemdi "I wish you were here".  So basically Hernan played it and a 18.000 crowd went off :D
