SHE'S ONLY SLEEPING (LIVE PERFORMANCE)

A song I wrote about three years ago reflecting on a long relationship. From the passionate love at first sight moment to the children that join the them on their journey through the many ups and downs that life throws into the mix. A realisation that after so many years the love grows and takes on a deeper significance as each chapter comes and goes.

CLOSER

An old song of mine that I have recently recorded for an acoustic piano and vocal EP that I will release in a few weeks time. It will be one of about six of my songs for this project. This song was written about thirty years ago about the end of a relationship that was never destined to last because our paths were moving in different directions.

THE COMMON GOOD Guy Johnson

My latest song written at the end of 2012. About the fears and anxieties that can overwhelm you late at night. How we seem to have forgotten the part of ourselves that exist in the present moment. If we can somehow recapture that essence of who we are then we are back on the right road in our journey. 

Late At Night

A song written with Jason Flinter from http://www.thesongdiner.co.uk . Jason came over to my studio early 2011 and we got the song written in a morning. Piano and vocals are Guy Johnson. The guitars are played by Jason. I really like this song and think it would be good in a film or on my next album.

ONE STEP AT A TIME

Park Bench Piano

The title song from my second album. A country ballad about the final nail in the coffin of a doomed relationship. The image of a cat playing with a spider and slowly killing it seemed an apt image.

Cat With A Spider

Piano player. Singer songwriter. Written top twenty hit for Status Quo called Going Down Town Tonight. Played keyboards and backing vocals on the song. Co-wrote One Step At A Time and Here I Go with Francis Rossi on Francis Rossi's 2010 Solo Album called One Step At A Time. Played piano and backing vocals on those songs. Written five songs with Grammy Award winning Nashville based songwriter, Roger Cook. Released two self penned albums called Keep On Watching and Cat With A Spider. Composed and recorded eight piano pieces for documentaries and film which are published by Feltmusic Ltd in Soho London.
