After the positive reactions on "Diablo", Oliver and I naturally decided to dive into a follow-up (with a rather appropriate title)! Not sure why we chose Spanish names but we seemed to be onto a good thing so we decided to keep nurturing those creative instincts. We had quite a few ideas going back and forth with this one, hence the two-part approach to the final version. Conceptually and with the working title, we wanted to take a lighter approach to this one, creating something less sinister than "Diablo" and I think that we succeeded nicely, helping to eventually take things into our "Elements" series. Finally after weeks of listening to demos not only for this album but the many many many that come through his email on a daily basis strippedmuzikclub boss Norman H has finally selected the tracks for the second in this series of Unmixed Compilation where a country is chosen and producers from said country are invited to submit their tracks whatever the genre for inclusion on the album.The chosen country this time is “MEXICO” where Norman has spent a lot of the last 18 months dj’ing,producing and enjoying what this beautiful country has to offer.Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Mexico City, Leon, Guanajuato, Queretaro, Ensenada, Tijuana, Mexicali are the main ports of call and this list is set to become much longer over the coming months as he plans to produce tracks and spread the strippedmuzikclub word as much as he can in not just Mexico but around the globe.

The new album is packed with no less than 32 brand new previously unreleased material from some of the countries talented producers with the likes of the always popular Tini Tun (We Are Here Records.Mx)  who once graced the decks at the legendary Twilo in New York, Vazik (Sounds Of Earth Records) and Andy Martin a young man who himself has had his talents spotted by none other than Magda, Marc Houle & Troy Pierce for their brand new Berlin based label Items & Things. These are just three of the artists appearing on the album expect to hear previews etc etc in the coming weeks leading up to the albums release.

This compilation can be described as a blend of Deep House, Tech House, Progressive House, Techno,Electronica,Indie Dance / Nu Disco and it stands on it’s own as worthy successor to last years “Argentina” – Stripped Digital.

Two giant forces in dance music collide as Guy Gerber makes his first foray with the Visionquest imprint. 'The Mirror Game', Guy's first original material since 2010, explores varying shades and tempos across two distinct cuts of progressive tech and electronica.

Title track 'The Mirror Game' is filled with gothic drama from the start. As the deep and trippy synth chords fuse with the distorted bass, layered disembodied voices float into the mix casting their dream-like spell whilst the soft tech groove underlies the gothic melody. A balance of melancholic atmosphere and euphoric surges, 'The Mirror Game' has a vivid, timeless feel that would surely make a perfect end-of-the-night record.

Upping the tempo with striding rhythms and endless drive, B-side 'One Day In May' provides the punchier dancefloor cut. Steeped in a trippy cosmic tango and echoes of eastern melody, the seductive exchange between female and male vocal working in hypnotic conjunction with the fluid groove. After months away from home, Audiofly finally return to their beloved Supernature with a hot collaboration with Close Sense (as a new alias from a very well known producer in the house and techno world) and multitalented Daniel Wilde, who has a long track record collaborating with many big names in the scene including Tiefschwarz, Sante' and Adam Port to name a few.

The Leader of the pack is "You Promised” which encapsulates the sexiness of Daniel's voice, Close Sense's attention to detail, and Audiofly's studio trickery into a low-slung dark number. Cascading from a deep kick drum, the tracks vocals add a variable of relatable sexiness to its listeners. 

The track “Gonzo” on the other hand, has a more insistent rhythm and a baseline that, when it comes half way through the track, dance floors lift to new heights. Sexy tambourine harmonies and spacey zaps relocate you into a realm of allusion through the deep funky bass lines and layered soulful lyrics. 

Carola Pisaturo, The first lady of Neapolitan techno, does a wonderful job remixing “Gonzo”. Bringing the track to new depths without losing sight of the original's groove propels this remix to the next level with effortless conviction. Starting the track slowly with deep baselines until the loop is introduced takes the listener on a journey of satisfaction and pulse vibrating entertainment. 

The package is rounded up with "Moments of Truth", a deep number that will certainly work wonders when the sun is at his peak. The warm deep tempo of this track is technically layered with subliminal Latin like percussions, which provide sentimental declination to the overall rawness of this track.

NEW WORK with Night Talk.  Felt important to share - I wrote it last time I was in my hometown of NYC and with the terrible devastation of Hurricane Sandy so present, I send this out as a prayer, a blessing for a city that I love tremendously.

Hot on the heels of his recent groundbreaking Fabric 64 compilation, Supplement Facts bossman Guy Gerber is now ready to get "Steady" with a brand new EP and worldwide tour.

Acclaimed photographer Martin Zalba Ibáñez has been tapped to provide a new series of B&W photos for the iconic Supplement Facts covers. The first one can be seen on Gerber's first release on his own Supplement Facts label in almost two years, which sees him pairing with dOP frontman Jaw for 'Steady,' a melodic track filled with soaring synth lines, Guy's emotional bass guitar chords, and Jaw's incredibly performance featuring his trademark eerie, distorted vocals.

Rounding out the release is a beefed up Midland remix of Steady - perfect for peak time dance floor destroying. The vinyl B- side is a re-edit of the Golden Sun & the Silver Moon, a dreamy standout track off of the Fabric compilation (and Guy's alternate name for the Fabric mix itself) featuring vocals by Clarion North of Footprintz (look for their upcoming album on Visionquest soon).


Guy Gerber feat. Jaw - Steady (Midland Remix)

For the first single from a 6-track EP from Montreal's Clarian (who is also one half of Footprintz), the Canadian reached well beyond the border to collaborate with Tel Aviv-born, Madrid-based producer Guy Gerber on "Claire." Gerber has been a major player on Israel's electronic scene since 2006, running his own Supplemental Facts label and infusing traces of minimal techno, tech house, downtempo and deep house in his productions, while remaining singular in his approach. Clarian's vocal contributions were at the heart of Gerber's progressive house-leaning Fabric mix from last year, which joined the likes of Ricardo Villalobos and Omar-S of artists that turned in single-artist mixes to the series. "Claire" starts amid a queasy vocal snippet (with Clarian's French whisper lodged in at the midpoint) and threatens to go darker and deeper. But a steady handclap and glimmering melodic line uplifts and casts light across this seven-minute track.

The WOH Lab family is getting bigger with the new «Between US» project.
enven though is new, it’s a long time story between WOH crew and the member of the duet Between Us, because it’s Cebb and Sandy Perrellon !
The featuring was expected a long time ago, and the result is worth waiting for.
The two partners that had developed a mark in the biggest techno years in the south of france especially 
with their Barlive residence, deliver us a first promising maxi, and announced several dates in live
particularly the «anîmé festival» organised by WOH, Between Us will play live alongside Barem, Miguel Campbell, Nhar or The Hacker...
Their track ‘Renato’ is a techno anthem but with a disco vibe! It grooves, it turns, it’s prog and it has already proved to be a crowd pleaser on many dancefloors!
‘Drawing the Sun’, however, has a darker atmosphere to it. Now close your eyes and imagine it’s 7am in that famous ‘warehouse’ near the Montpellier airport… A proven recipe: a powerful bass, soaring synths and new wavey vocals! Back in the days! 


La maison WOH Lab s’agrandit avec le nouveau projet «Between Us». Bien que nouveau c’est une histoire de longue date entre les membres du duo Between Us, puisqu’il s’agit de Cebb et Sandy Perrellon ! La collaboration était attendue depuis pas mal de temps et le résultat valait le coup d’attendre. Les deux comparses, qui ont marqué les grandes années techno du sud de la france, avec notamment leur résidence au Barlive, nous livrent un premier maxi prometteur, et annoncent plusieurs dates en live avec notamment le festival anîmé organisé par WOH aux côtés de Barem, Miguel Campbell, Nhar ou The Hacker…
Renato est un hymne techno mais «disco» ! ça groove, ça tourne, c’est progressif et le track déjà testé en soirée a retourné plus d’un dancefloor…
Drawing the sun, nous plonge dans une ambiance plus sombre. On ferme les yeux, on s’imagine à 7h du matin dans ce «fameux hangar» proche de l’aéroport de Montpellier ! Une recette efficace : basse puissante, synthés planants et vocal new wave ! Back in the days !

Between Us - Renato

"Salome" is not only the A1 track of the new Upon You single from Channel X, it`s also the title of a famous oriental Foxtrott composed in 1920 by Robert Stolz. There`s not much Foxtrott left from Channel X in the year 2011, therefore the modern artists are squinting into the orient to get the inspiration for the occidental club-madness. Riding on the "Orient Express" they let the well of inspiration pass by the A2 window for this proper vinyl. During their journey, the colleagues Audiojack rub on "Salome" their patented dance-paste, which momentarily waxes almost every well known dancefloor. And finally because travelling makes contemplative, Channel X is musing about the sense of being on the Beatport exclusive digital-bonus.
