Please Dont Let Me Go

Although this photograph is of a monastery in Peru (!), the name transported me back to a rather memorable New Years Eve in Sevilla, Spain.  

Throughout the city, spontaneous flamenco dances would appear.  In one particular Plaza, a small group of musicians—guitar, bass, violin—start playing while onlookers begin to clap along.  A female dancer starts her dance of seduction.  Hearing her call, a male dancer appears, while far off on the opposite end of the square, a lone trumpet begins to play.  The seductress weaves her web around her prey, and they dance.  By now the crowd has swelled with onlookers grabbing anything they can find that will make noise.  Soon, the entire square is filled with the beautiful seductive noise of flamenco.
