 Safa is a vocalist who creates music that bridges the art of neo-soul and jazz fusion into contemporary media. 
Raised in East Orange, NJ, her love for music was heavily influenced by growing up in a musically diverse environment with parents who were heavily involved in the entertainment industry, her mother being a hip hop emcee and her father a filmmaker. 
 Her professional career began after her admission into The New School for Jazz and Contemporary music as a vocalist. Immediately after college, she featured in 5x Grammy award winning jazz artist Esperanza Spalding’s NPR Tiny Desk December of 2021. Since then, she has toured nationally and internationally with Esperanza Spalding & Antonio’s collective, “off brand gOdds” as a background vocalist from 2022-2024. 

Safa’s goal as an artist explore new sonic ways to incorporate her experience of studying jazz, and create music that favors emotional discovery.
