Berlin has long been regarded as one of the capital cities of techno and Berghain could be seen as the home stadium of the genre in Europe. If this analogy is accurate then Marcel Fengler would be one of the midfield playmakers. One of the first Berghain residents to ply his trade there since 2005 Marcel has crafted a career above reproach by being a truly versatile artist. 

Marcel is the real deal. His uncompromising DJ sets have long been stamped into the history books of Berlin techno and the fact that his first ever release was on Berghain’s in-house label Ostgut Ton really should tell you all you need to know. The unassuming German is most definitely not known for resting on his laurels and made the decision to focus on his already established imprint Index Marcel Fengler. 

It is this constant reinvention and re-imagination that keeps him at the top of his game and we are blessed to present an exclusive mix from the man himself. Since the mid 90’s Marcel Fengler has been blazing a trail and you can trace his dedication his craft in this very mix...

American-born artist Ryan Miller is a prolific techno producer and live performer, releasing work under a variety of aliases (Tunnel, Darkcloud, FWD//, +) for record labels devoted to innovative techno and genre-fluid dance music - labels such as 
Instruments of Discipline, The Brvtalist, Gegen Records, House of Reptile, Omen, Depth Request, FWDSLASH, and his own imprint, Webuildmachines. 

Within the past decade, Tunnel has performed across the US, Europe, and Asia, earning a reputation as a shaman of two unique dancefloor energies - the brutal and the beautiful. Performing a kinetic blend of breaks, hard techno, cinematic sound design, and rhythmic noise, his performances balance dance-floor focused function with raw emotion and distortion-drenched intensity.

Juxta Position - HATE Podcast 093

The first edition of the Fast Forward Audio Series for this decade, we present to you a special collaborative effort between Viscerale and Adam Askov of Funeral Future, they named the mix "Life is not a Beach". It came about as the result of a close friendship that was formed a year ago.
The tracks featured in the mix were all fixtures at the local club Tuben back in the early ‘00s and have been superbly mixed by Viscerale. It’s a rare glimpse into a sound that preceded our own contributions to the Copenhagen techno.

Fast Forward Audio Series #39: Viscerale x Adam Askov

A staple component of New York’s techno renaissance, the name of Unter and Jack Dept. affiliate Volvox has become synonymous with surgical mixing technique and a certain square-shooting, take-no-prisoner approach towards dance floor business. Stamina-testing and raw to the bone, her music runs the gamut from skull-crushing 4x4 obedience to muggy 303-riddled salvos, abrasive house rhythms and everything in between. Remaining true to the original spirit of the Detroit pioneers all the while computing the next winning equation that’ll make ravers lose their marbles in an utterly new fashion every time the needle hits the groove, Volvox keeps on blowing minds for a routine. Add that RYC mix to her long list of face-melting sonic misdemeanors and red-handed audio assault; plain and simple, it's just criminally good.

With his productions Inhalt der Nacht is presenting his very own take on EBM-infused Techno. After making a name for himself as a DJ he started his label Lebendig in 2017 where beside his own productions he releases music by his friends and partners in crime Echoes of October, Peryl, Tham, and Hkkptr. In 2018 his track “Dosis“ appeared on the compilation “The World of Monnom Black“ on Dax J's eponymous label and got heavy rotation on dark dancefloors.
Beside his busy touring schedule taking him to clubs and festivals all over the world he's a resident DJ at Griessmühle Berlin, Khidi Tbilisi and Rote Sonne Munich. In 2020 he will play debut shows at Melt! Festival and Soenda Festival.
