Lindsey Herbert delivers 90 minutes of timeless techno for number 27 in the Junction 2 mix series.

Beginning her career at the age of 16, Lindsey Herbert has continued to drift towards the trippier realms of techno. Having become a recognised name in the scene, her unique sets often explore soundscapes laced together by dark, deep and heavy textures, as well as psychedelic elements. Currently a member of San Francisco’s party outfit Direct To Earth, Lindsey has played in Europe’s major cities, including Berlin’s Tresor and Georgia’s Gate Club. Her first release was a remix for Martyn Päsch’s ‘Scared’ in 2018 and she is now signed to a long list of labels including NECHTO, Planet X and No Way Records. The American talent is expected to release her debut solo vinyl EP in September.

But it was not in Spain, but in Germany, where She consolidated his career, establishing herself in the city of Berlin in 2012. Recognized as one of the cultural capitals of Europe and cradle of Techno sound, the air of freedom and rebellion that prevailed more than 30 years after the fall of the wall is still perceived in its streets. The Berlin creative atmosphere has become the ideal environment for hundreds of artists from different disciplines who live daily exchanging ideas and collaborating in their work. Integrated to the pulse of this cosmopolitan city, the artist immediately absorbed the codes of a sound with her own name. Some years elapsed since Dinamite became a resident of the legendary Tresor club, epicenter of the world Techno culture. Born and raised in Morocco, @chamixx has been djing there before moving to Lyon, France and discovering his passion for techno. Now based in Berlin.

Chami is one of those artists that truly reflects the spirit of techno, no superficial exterior surface of these days but only focusing on the pure art form itslef. He also presented last month with OPH, his music soulmate, their new face 2 face project at the legendary Berghain where they played facing each others using 2 mixers and 4 vinyl turntables.
