Highly-regarded production duo Unit7 are to offer up their first release of 2014 in the shape of three track EP, ‘Down’ / ‘Gave It Up’, the third transmission on WRHS Music. Renowned for their ability to deliver expertly crafted, groove-laden club tracks, they have forged a reputation as go-to names for some of the freshest, industrial house and techno cuts coming out of the UK. Fueled solely by their ambition to make people dance, Unit7 excel on both ‘Down’ and ‘Gave It Up’, tracks which should earmark them as names to watch this year. 

‘Down’ builds with minimal, percussive rhythms that serve as a prelude for the bullish, hard-edged bass line that carries the track into deeper, darker realms without sacrificing any of it’s significant dance floor potential. ‘Gave It Up’ adopts a similar blueprint, although builds as a more ambient, melodic soundscape with delicate, washed out synth lines and dreamy vocals giving it an altogether more soulful groove. A smooth, rolling dub mix of ‘Gave It Up’ ties together the EP with aplomb too, further amplifying the duo’s undoubted sonic credentials. 

Exhibiting high-end production value and a firm, unwavering dance floor aesthetic, Unit7 are sure to build on their burgeoning reputation throughout 2014 and, having already been confirmed to play both Horizons Festival and the Bugged Out Weekender on March 9th, look set to enjoy a busy summer season.

Oscillat kicks off 2019 with an assured and brooding club 12" from long-serving producer Matthew Dekay. 'Spellbound' is his first solo release since 2014 and comes ahead of him starting his own label later in the year. On the b-side of the release is a remix from Oscillat bosses Mandar (Lazare Hoche, Malin Genie and Samuel Andre Madsen), who flip the title cut into an infectious peak-time, acid-tinged jacker. 

'Spellbound' is set for release July 5.

As if Veronique kissed Davina under the shower, as if the Beach Boys had played Hip Hop, as if World’s Apart had heard about Dr Dre, there are things we imagine with no real hope for them to happen.

And then there is GYM who break the rules and manage to create disco pop fantasy for our ears.
Hailing from Lille, the trio is composed of Jérôme Voisin (Roken is dodelijk's lead vocalist) , Nicolas Bertin (Lille’s underground scene major drummer) , Nicolas Obert (the extravagant bass player) and releases a muscled EP.

Four tracks mixed by We Are Enfant Terrible’s guitarist Thomas Fourny that look like their creators: sexy, hairy, mysterious and danceable.

Doing the splits between Midlake and the Klaxons, the band is in the line of pop music’s high competitors with its symphonic arrangements, unleashed drums and inspired lyrics.

GYM do songs in leotard, heading straight to your heart.
