Sounds From NoWhere is pleased to premiere a new apaull' gem on 'Furnace Room Records'.
After five EPs dutch-canadian electronic music producer apaull releases his debut album “Fought & Won”. 
This 8 track LP is executive produced by Abe Duque and is on the furnace room records label. 
The album was crafted with the usual apaull aesthetic of dance, by all means, but if you like, listen for the messages encased in each track.
“Fought & Won” began as a series of paintings, one of which is used as the album cover, created by Paul van der Werf (apaull) at the “two weeks to flatten the curve” start of the pandemic. 
It embodies the ethos that victory never comes by accident and that you need to, at the very least, figuratively fight your way to that victory.
A good deal of the album and its tracks deal with the pandemic and its aftermath. 
This crisis exposed governments predilection for power and a subset of cowering masses who accepted this scope creep, without rational reflection and complicity.

I feel 2017 is going to be a wonderful year of creating <3 and in that I have decided to begin my own monthly podcast called The Essence Of Techno. 
Music is a huge element to who I am as a being and as a creator, and I cannot wait to share new sounds and create new experiences through this podcast on a regular basis. Nothing gives me more joy than seeing the happiness music brings others. 

This mix is a musical representation I have created to transcend the thoughts and emotion towards my most recent experience of undergoing intensive Visionary Painting & Tibetan Buddhism practices. This is my musical interpretation to the essence of the awakening mind. Letting the sound reverberate like an echo, inseparable from emptiness, and express what words can not.

GŸPS aka Gypsy, is a techno DJ from lutruwita (Tasmania) who has made her mark on the underground scene since 2013.
She is a co-founder & resident of Tasmania's leading techno movement SPICYMUSIC, which has been running parties & raves since 2015, featuring international & local DJs and Producers. 
In early 2020 she co-founded CONCEPT, which is a unique inner city warehouse space in the city of Launceston for music, art & subculture.

She performs regularly at club nights & festivals throughout Tasmania along with being invited to perform in other Australian cities for techno nights & festivals. She has regular guest appearances on underground European & Australian radio shows & two years ago she created The Essence of Techno Podcast, which has huge support from listeners throughout Australia, Europe, & USA.

Her style has been labeled rolling, energetic & psychedelic. Her sets are best known to feature tripped out atmospheric elements, dark and industrial driven sounds, interwoven with fast rolling bass lines and often mixed with a touch of 90s rave and tribal influences.

She has played main support alongside some of the major techno artists, such as Setaoc Mass, Peter Van Hoesen, SPFDJ, Henning Baer, Amelie Lens, Charlotte de Witte, Anetha,  Perc, Dasha Rush, Bart Skils, Farrago, Boris Of Berlin, Wehbba, Luigi Madonna, Enrico Sangiuliano, Secret Cinema, Arjun Vagale, Pig&Dan, & Mark Reeve just to name a few.
