Berlin artist Dominique Dillon de Byington aka Dillon released the follow up to her 2011 album 'Silence Kills' back in March and 'The Unknown' once again showcased her intelligent songwriting and beautifully whimsical vocals.

The first single to be taken from 'The Unknown', released via BPitch Control, was 'A Matter Of Time' and the striking piano chords and haunting feel gave listeners an idea of what to expect. Now, the single gets a full remix package.

As well as spellbinding remixes from Anstam, Planningtorock and Monokle, Dillon's track has been edited by none-other than Berghain's resident and techno master Marcel Dettmann and we have the first play.

Following their ongoing relationship with Soma Records, Ukrainian duo Woo York are set to release their new record that proves to be somewhat representative of recent dramatic events in their country. Entitled I Am Against, both the main track and the EP itself are referring to the developments that lead to revolutionary struggle of the Ukrainian people. Fighting inequality, saying what you have to say and doing what you have to do seem to be the core ideas of the record. You might have figured that out yourself by spotting a rebel protester from January’s clash with riot police depicted on the record sleeve. The EP also features a special remix from UK Techno producer, Ø [Phase].

Music-wise the EP presents the same idea: the epic energy of the title track highlights the drive that was fuelling peaceful individuals to go out onto the streets and fight for their rights. An excellent remix from Ø [Phase] follows a similar path, although in its own original way that has made the UK-based artist’s name associated with the finest techno to date.  Closing the EP ‘In The End’ is a more abstract side of Woo York’s music works that reminds us once again: every single act of violence is bound to come to an end at some point.

The tenth release on Urban Scrumping is ‘Purified’ by Gyu. 

Following on from his highly successful ‘Rorschach’ EP on Urban Scrumping and his relocation from Bristol to Moscow, Gyu has been busy in the studio focusing on the deeper side of his productions. 

This 8 track release shows why Gyu has been described as ‘One of the Urban Scrumping crew’s finest producers’, showcasing his clinical production which provides dramatic impact alongside melodic depth and will appeal to fans of Pangaea, F, and Pearson Sound.

‘Purified’ keeps things varied and features the vocal talents of Indi Kaur on the uplifting and meditative sounds of ‘Living Life’ and the haunting bass fuelled roller ‘Out in the Bush’. 

The 2step/future garage sounds of ‘Trinket’ and ‘Truant’ sit naturally alongside the heavier beats of ‘Congo Shuffle’ and the hypnotic sub-led grooves of ‘Finesse’. Whilst the deeper, emotive sounds of ‘Satch’ and ‘Mercury’ help to create a diverse release which chills on headphones and rolls on the dancefloor.

The beautiful sounds of ‘Purified’ have been getting support from some of the scenes top producers and DJs, including Von D, Hyetal, DJ Madd, Rob Sparx, Kulture, XI, Clubroot, BunZer0, Rob Booth and Bobby Friction.

After much confusion I finally found the original 1996 version of LTJ's seminal Logical Progression 2 CD release. This is the mixed set (CD-B). Intelligent DnB at its finest. I've been looking for this set for a long time but have never been able to find it online, only the 2001 re-released version where the mixed CD was replaced with the 'Ministry of Sound Half A Decade Of Dance' 96 live set and different tracks on the un-mixed CD. I brought a 2nd hand copy from Discogs.com. I will do a mix using the tracks on the unmixed CD (CD-A) when I get some time.

No infringement of copyright is intended, I'm assuming it's ok to make this available to download as it's not possible to buy this new anymore. If there is a problem with copyright let me know and I'll remove it.

In 2016 London Elektricity took on a huge challenge, to step back in front of the crowd not only as a DJ but also as a live musician. With Hospitality moving leaps and bounds over the past decade, growing into a huge 10,000 capacity festival in London’s Finsbury Park, it was the perfect time for Tony Colman to transform his signature jazz infused drum & bass into a spectacular live big brass band styled performance.

It was the highlight of Hospitality In The Park 2016. Electric vibrations ran through everyone in the tent - Tony Colman shredded his bass guitar, jazz legend Liane Carroll and new discovery Emers’ vocals soared with style and finesse, members of the Riot Jazz collective uplifted the drum & bass tempo all led by the never ending energy of our resident Dynamite MC.

The ‘Live In The Park’ LP reminisces back to this unforgettable hour with 10 tracks seamlessly running through London Elektricity classics, new material and a surprising cover.

“The LE Big Band show at Finsbury Park was actually our first ever gig. I had no idea what to expect at all. When our set time came around all 20 of us set up, I plugged in and off we went. the hour flew by in a blur, but the crowd went totally mental, and we were on fire. To hear my music played by a big band was an honour - to be part of that big band was amazing.
