Its newest addition features a fiery single 'Mockery' by Shanghai based Zean, a pivotal figure in local underground scene, and Skrillex`s record breaking Boiler Room participant. His gunshot samples filled riddim gets quickly immersed in a wild array of systolic synths, making it a ready-to-use floor filling affair. Moving one step up and flipping Zean`s original track to even more devastating effect though is the full frontal banger remix by Tokyo`s Wrack, replacing clicks with Ha samples and leaving no doubts about who rules this particular party."

Haron’s Taxa EP dips into a world of fizzing electronics and draws from it four potent club mutations.

Having explored spacious ambient on 2018’s well-received Wandelaar, the Dutch producer turns his attention towards full-body rhythms. These newly prepared compositions, the first club release on Queeste, are dappled with synthesised colour and unexpected timbral shifts, aligning the producer with global bass permutations while maintaining his own playful course.

The skittering dancefloor percussion of opening track ‘Drosera’ immediately signals this change in direction, leading effortlessly into the tightly coiled drums of ‘Benthos’ whose name is taken from the community of organisms that dwell on the seabed. In a nod to Wandelaar’s serene tones, the track ends with weightless ambience alongside snippets of human voices, a single moment of stillness on a release elsewhere defined by movement. ‘Pantala’ is pristine computerised dancehall teeming with disembodied samples and impressionistic swirls of noise before Taxa ends with ‘Pincertail’ whose bustling syncopations recall UK funky at its nimblest.

No less evocative than his beatless work, on this EP Haron has crafted his own idiosyncratic abstraction of club music, one imbued with joyful melodies and a giddy, pleasingly destabilising sensibility.

" ℌEXOℜℭℑSMOS is an uncanny link between ancient and contemporary sound technologies. Prehispanic sound artifacts from ancient México, contemporary brain-computer interfaces and hand crafted electronic instruments blend together to situate the listener in a teknoXamanistic ritual of rhythmical noise soundscapes which addresses the politics of colonization and occupation – whether it be on the dance floor or interactive immersive sound installations.
 
He's an alumni of the Red Bull Music Academy held in London, UK (2010), participated as a guest composer at ElektronMusikStudion in Stockholm, Sweden (2014 & 2017), played in Boiler Room México, and has participated in the Tijuana, Mexico City and Berlin editions of Music Makers Hacklab by CTM festival. "
