«Nuit d’amour by Irène Drésel» est une mixtape conçue spécialement pour la Saint-Valentin.
Une heure de musique électronique qui reflète l’amour sous toutes ses formes, démarrant de manière lente et langoureuse pour monter progressivement en intensité. 

L’intro avec «Aleph (TSI Remix) » de Gesaffelstein annonce aussitôt la couleur. Durant une heure, on va osciller entre érotisme, rituel, légèreté et envoûtement.
On démarre avec l’amour au sens littéral, en flirtant avec «Dune» de Chloé et son texte explicite avant de s’élever vers un amour divin et fleuri avec la prière à Sainte Thérèse récitée par Chloé Sevigny (écrit par le duo de créateurs de parfums «Régime des Fleurs») sur une instru de Soulwax. Plus tard, le morceau sulfureux «Skinfummel» de Ricardo Villalobos nous guide vers l’amour interdit avec la voix d'Emmanuelle Béart relatant les prémices d’une relation sexuelle pour vriller vers une ambiance torride et tropicale à la Peggy Gou, le tout entrecoupé d’ellipses comme le souffle court de «Stops» de Nathan Fake, «The Letter» de Coucou Chloé, et d’autres morceaux phares comme «Missing You» de Talabot ou «Sick» de Basti Grub & Komaton. En tant qu’artiste exilée à la campagne, il m’a semblé naturel de clôturer le tout avec la fameuse «Clef des Champs» de N’To.

Cette mixtape est le fruit d’un long travail de recherches. Les seize morceaux qu’elle contient ont un sens, rien n’a été laissé au hasard. Il y a de la sensualité, de l’érotisme, des fleurs et de l’étrangeté. Comme à mon habitude, les morceaux ne sont pas mixés mais enchainés, un peu comme ce qui se fait en radio.
En ce 14 février 2020 je vous souhaite une bonne Saint Valentin à toutes et à tous.
