This is my very first DJ mix ever. This project is part of an assignment for the Wakamaia Ecstatic Dance DJ course. I have no prior experience in DJing or any formal musical education. Thanks to Wakamaia, I’ve gained new skills to begin my journey as an Ecstatic Dance DJ. It’s not perfect, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come, starting from zero.

First Steps

I'm KAFAI, an Ecstatic Dance DJ at the beginning of my journey. My inspiration comes from Hózhǫ́, a central concept in Navajo (Diné) culture that embodies beauty, harmony, and balance. It reflects the interconnectedness of all things, guiding one to live in alignment with the natural order—embracing physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being.
