The Rap Contest creator, host and producer Sellassie, is the world’s first higherground hip-hop artist;  he is a social justice activist, entrepreneur, event producer and pioneer.  From 2004 to 2014; Sellassie carved his niche as a leading progressive voice in the San Francisco Bay Area hip-hop scene. Producing his live hip hop shows all over the country, Sellassie became a force in bringing independent artists together. Sellassie is proof that there are young black artists that can make music that is creative, street smart, positive, articulate and politically minded.  Independently Producing over 250 Live Hip-Hop shows in the last 10 years in over 20 cities nationwide + 10 different states, Sellassie's Live Hip Hop experiences have distinguished themselves as premier outlets for independent artists.  Sellassie also works with social, political and youth based initiatives, and is a contributor to various special projects. Sellassie is grounded; a confident and refreshing emcee in an industry plagued with commercialism, materialism, negativity and drama.   Sellassie utilizes his music and events as a vehicle for social change and inspiration, and he regularly states that he “wants to be in the history books, not the pop charts.”

While, with her sweet little-girl smile and innocently sincere demeanour, she may not look it, a voice that’s surprisingly strong for such a petite person combined with stage moves that are getting more and more polished as she gains experience make “BELLV” at only 21 years old, already somewhat of a seasoned veteran.
She’s been writing since she was 11 and singing since she could talk, She’s no stranger to stages in TO and parts well beyond.
The Mississauga native already has a performing resume that’d be the envy of many seasoned professionals. Bella is an alternative rock artist and her Her main project "Vinyl ambush" is in the process of releasing and wrapping up a 10 song album. In the downtime, Bella is recording and just release her original song "Tuff Love" now on Itunes, Spotify, Deezer,  ready to release some more singles in the future.
