Sydney’ born and bred, Steve Marx has mastered his craft as a DJ over the last 20 years, moving to London in the mid 90’S, he was influenced by the huge brands of the time such as Renaissance, Slinky and Ministry of Sound.
 
He quickly became a trusted name alongside the greats such as Nick Warren, Sasha and Hernan Cattaneo, who till this day insist on him for support whenever they play down under!  
Now heading up the infamous onedotsixtwo label, with his cohorts Tripswitch and Gustin he is not just a DJ to be reconned with, but one of the taste makers of the progressive scene. 

Based back in his home town of Sydney and playing the biggest parties in Australia, Steve travels the world plying his craft at every opportunity, and is snapped up by promoters around the globe to play his amazing musical soundscapes. 
In recent years when returning to Europe, he has played alongside John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo and B2B with Eelke Kleijn cementing his place as a global name at the top of his game. 
 
At home in Sydney, alongside running his dance music show on Bondi Beach radio, he has regular appearances for Return to Rio, Boots and Catz among many more amazing events, it’s safe to say that Steve is a force to be reconned with for any dance floor!

The only time any of us had previously seen Tiefschwarz was when Mikey Lion saw them at the closing party of Space Ibiza back in 2009. Following some insanely epic sets by Guy Gerber and Steve Lawler on the Terrace Stage at Space, Tiefschwarz laid down the best set of them all to 5000+ party goers in the middle of a torrential rain & lightning storm. The madness of the atmosphere only added to the vibe and the music as people were straight up losing their minds dancing on the completely flooded dance floor. It’s hard to imagine having a vibe and atmosphere that’s more electric than the circumstances surrounding the closing party of one of the best clubs in the world. But you know what? The vibe was better at Desert Hearts.

Canada’s John Acquaviva is one of those behind-the-scene players whose influence spread far and wide. He is a businessman, artist and punter in equal spades, and have dedicated 4 decades to the global dance music industry. As a co-founder of Beatport and Final Scratch, he has helped sculpt the dance music transition from analogue to digital, and from vinyl to CDJs and laptops. (’I think of it as a horse and buggy age in that once you have a car, which in DJ life was both Final Scratch technology and Pioneer perfecting CDs, it’s hard to go back.)

A chance meeting in 1989 with fellow Canuck Richie Hawtin, lead to the creation of one of the most pivotal techno imprints, Plus 8 Records (which released music form artist like Cybersonik, Speedy J, Kenny Larkin and Plastikman). They followed that up in 1993 with the more house and tech-flavoured Definitive Records, which, almost 25 years later is still relevant as ever.

Today, Acquaviva calls himself a vinyl collector, insatiable entrepreneur, executive film producer and label owner. Yet above all, John Acquaviva is the quintessential performer at heart. His DJ career has surged forward with sets at BPM Festival, Space Ibiza, Output in Brooklyn, Bellevue in Zurich and Crobar in Buenos Aires to name a few.

With tracks from Henrik Schwarz, Matthias Tanzmann, Artslaves and more, this is a deep and body-moving tech workout with one the scene’s most reliable and longest-serving pioneers.
