One of Dancing Astronaut’s artists to watch in 2017 and the man behind one of the most impressive debuts of 2016, Beatport #1 album ‘One Day of Independence’ on Guy J’s Lost & Found, returns to home ground. This time in the shape of 5 incredible remixes by some of electronic music’s most intriguing and brightest stars.

Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Patrice Baumel, Termoment and Lost & Found head honcho Guy J have each reinterpreted their favourite off Khen’s future classic debut.

‘Imaginal Cells’ has been repurposed by the label boss himself into a beautiful slice of melodic goodness. With trippy FX details and a serene breakdown, its yet another Guy J classic rework. 

Diynamic's Lehar offers his take on the Khen and Guy J collabo ‘Prism’, turning down the intensity of the original with a sophisticated touch, he leads the track to deeper waters with an infectious melody that marries the familiar underlying key elements of the original in perfect symbiosis.

The sonic voyage continues with Luca Bachetti’s groovish take on ‘Authentica’. Adding to the recognisable lead melody, he gives the track an almost cinematic and atmospheric treatment that leaves you longing for more.

Patrice Baumel, fresh from the success of his recent remix of Cubicolor, tackles ‘Land of Goshen’. Taking the track in a more driving and pumping direction with a nod to 90s classic Trance, this track will cause a stir in sets from dusk to dawn.

Closing the collection on a trippy vibe with hints of old school Acid and an uncanny detailed soundscape that will leave you in awe, is Termoment’s take on ‘One Day of Independence’. A beautiful and fitting finalé to this weighty package of reworks.

A beacon for progressive house since 2011, Stellar Fountain regularly fosters up-and-coming talent. Both Pedro Capelossi and Hot TuneiK become part of its esteemed inner circle at month’s end. With a third distinctive remix, the latter Mexican DJ/producer and Hookah Records owner makes his return to the Hungarian imprint. While “Space Camels'” evokes darker tones than its playful title may suggest, Hot TuneiK uses its lingering atmos, rumbling basslines and intrinsic strums to conceive quite the cosmic driver!

Fresh for 2k20 the Hive Audio crew comes in with a dark surprise – the launch of a new platform/subsidiary for strictly darker dancefloor-focused electronic music. For the very first release on Hive Audio Dark we proudly present the new single effort created by Hive Club resident and Swiss-based producer Vanita who's weighing in two original tracks as well as a captivating remix on her „Still On My Mind EP“.

The opening tune „Still On My Mind“ sees Vanita joining forces with vocalist Eleonora, catering a deep take on late night Tech House mysticism surely influenced by classic Tech Trance and Progressive vibes with its endless breakdown, slowly evolving melodic pads and patterns as well as Eleonora's reflective, innocent yet captivating lyrics floating atop the tunes structure like a fairytale from an alternate ancient reality.

With their rework of „Still On My Mind“ the duo that is Prismode & Solvane presents a new take on the original track built on a foundation of highly compressed, hard pumping bassdrums and obvious Tribal influences accompanied by cascading melodies and even more of an uplifting, harmonic and Melody-inducing feel for maximum dancefloor impact.

With „Broken Pieces“ Vanita is in for another solo studio effort, bringing forth a well more brooding and technoid aspect of her sonic explorations. Masterly sculpted hard hitting drums are accompanied by a heftly low-end as well as panoramic pads, a distinct percussive shuffle and layers upon layers of ever changing intertwined synth modulations as well as a modernistic, spaced-out homage to (Neo)Cosmic alike which defo levels all punters' brains up to a hypnotic state of consciousness. There are few, if any, artists currently working in electronic music to match BLANCAh’s talent and versatility. Whether it’s DJing, singing live (often during her own sets) or producing, her creative cup constantly overflows, which is why she has become one of South America’s breakout stars with a CV that includes some of the world’s most renowned platforms. From releases on Steyoyoke, Movement, and Lost On You; touring the globe or holding residencies at two of the world’s most famous clubs (Brazil’s Warung and D-Edge), BLANCAh is proof-positive cream always rises. 

Now, following two acclaimed releases with Renaissance, ‘Cold Lights’ and ‘Walk In Clouds’, BLANCAh presents her second studio album ‘Arias Of Sky’. 

Dance isn’t a genre that’s embraced the album format as a rule, but with ‘Arias Of Sky’ BLANCAh has undoubtedly delivered a body of music that doesn’t so much challenge the status quo as rip-up the rule book. It’s a showcase that deftly balances melodic electronica with her club roots as she explains, “Arias is a true labour of love that took months to produce. I consciously shifted my sound to create an emotive soundscape that people will hopefully listen and dance to in equal measure.”

Opening with her spoken word on ‘Afago’, the album progresses from downbeat beauty to haunting club anthems, taking in a myriad of influences along the way; if Kate Bush’s ‘A Sky Of Honey’ went to a Brazilian nightclub this would arguably be the resulting love child. 

Finally, it’s only fitting such a creative album offer DJs and listeners creative options as to how they want to listen to it, something BLANCAh was keen to provide. “Although I completed the album the job was far from done”, she explains, “I decided to offer it in 3 different formats, the original versions, extended mixes and a continuous mix as if it were a DJ set in its own right. With the latter I even created three exclusive ‘INTERLUDES’ to help with the transitions and flow. It’s a very personal journey that represents my strange and wonderful take on the world. I hope people enjoy it.”
