One of Dancing Astronaut’s artists to watch in 2017 and the man behind one of the most impressive debuts of 2016, Beatport #1 album ‘One Day of Independence’ on Guy J’s Lost & Found, returns to home ground. This time in the shape of 5 incredible remixes by some of electronic music’s most intriguing and brightest stars.

Lehar, Luca Bachetti, Patrice Baumel, Termoment and Lost & Found head honcho Guy J have each reinterpreted their favourite off Khen’s future classic debut.

‘Imaginal Cells’ has been repurposed by the label boss himself into a beautiful slice of melodic goodness. With trippy FX details and a serene breakdown, its yet another Guy J classic rework. 

Diynamic's Lehar offers his take on the Khen and Guy J collabo ‘Prism’, turning down the intensity of the original with a sophisticated touch, he leads the track to deeper waters with an infectious melody that marries the familiar underlying key elements of the original in perfect symbiosis.

The sonic voyage continues with Luca Bachetti’s groovish take on ‘Authentica’. Adding to the recognisable lead melody, he gives the track an almost cinematic and atmospheric treatment that leaves you longing for more.

Patrice Baumel, fresh from the success of his recent remix of Cubicolor, tackles ‘Land of Goshen’. Taking the track in a more driving and pumping direction with a nod to 90s classic Trance, this track will cause a stir in sets from dusk to dawn.

Closing the collection on a trippy vibe with hints of old school Acid and an uncanny detailed soundscape that will leave you in awe, is Termoment’s take on ‘One Day of Independence’. A beautiful and fitting finalé to this weighty package of reworks.

Swiss-Italian producer and composer Parsifal (who was formerly one half of LVTECE) returns for his first solo release on Connected.

Parsifal's music is strongly influenced by a mixture of organic moods and textures, Japan's traditional Taiko percussion and both vintage and modern synthesisers all surrounded by a cinematic ambience. With this fine new three track EP Parsifal merges genres, ethnic rhythms and jazz chords to create a unique energy that is perfectly balanced for the dance floor and the home listener alike. Solomun, Tale of Us and Âme have spun Parsifal tracks and these new ones will likely get the same attention. Fantastic first track ’Signs Of Light’ revolves between ethnic guitars and simple and powerful lead melodies surrounded by a deep bass and drum backbone. ’Ipnosi’ takes its name from the Italian for ‘Hypnosis’ and invites the listener into a particular ambience where a solid groove supports a never ending arpeggio. It absorbingly leads to an impressive drop after a dreamy break that will wake and shake the club in subtle ways. Lastly, the excellent ’In Volo’ is a fusion of different styles with strong rhythm and bass supporting the catchy melodies until the break where piano chords prepare the listener for an epic synth solo. It's another majestic, journeying track that moves you in many ways.

GMJ - Oranai (Nicholas Van Orton Summer Remix)

The latest release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine White finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Lucas Rossi's 'Systematic' EP. Originally released in May of 2019 on parent label Dopamine Music, the four-track showcase found the Argentinean artist presenting some of his finest ever work. Now looking to bring new life to the project, Dopamine White invites Mariano Favre, Weird Sounding Dude, Li-Polymer and Yashar to re-imagine the tracks for 2020. 

First up and making his label debut is Mariano Favre who provides a stunning interpretation of the title track 'Systematic'. The Argentinean boasts an impressive discography highlighted by releases on 3rd Avenue, Asymmetric Recordings and Balkan Connection. Now bringing his remixing prowess to Dopamine White, the Rosario resident brings a pure progressive vibe to 'Systematic'. Full, warm and undeniably powerful; it's bulbous low end, haunting vocals and driving percussion provide the framework for moments of impassioned energy. Icy atmospherics, delicate pianos and a wealth of cosmic concepts make this a more than worthy complement to the original. 

Next up and also making his label debut is Weird Sounding Dude who re-interprets 'Dynamo'. The Indian artist has been enjoying his best and perhaps most prolific year to date. Releases for Balkan Connection, Eat My Hat Music and Kindisch have all been sensational. Most recently the Bangalore resident gave us one of the summer's best remixes with his take on Carlos Tk's 'Hope' courtesy of Transensations. Now continuing a great 2020, Weird Sounding Dude puts a unique twist on 'Dynamo'. The groove gets reworked into something a bit chunkier while a complement of emotive arps, misty atmospheres and organic percussion fill in the framework. Tastefully melodic, the Indian artist opts for a sleek yet powerful approach, building tension subtly across the main break through timely modulation, before melting down into a groovy drop and uplifting finale. 

Sitting at the heart of Portugal's electronic music culture is Li-Polymer. The Funchal resident has continued to delight progressive music fans with his deep, organic sound which has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Beat Boutique, ICONYC and Soundteller Records. Now making his Dopamine White debut Li-Polymer turns in a stellar rendition of 'Unexpected'. Smooth, percussive and rhythmically buoyant, it's electric cadence may be its strongest suit. Charming atmospheres and redolent shades set the backdrop for a narrative of melodic clusters and organic drums, before an expansive break brings a sense of calm to the spirited journey. 

Rounding out the release is label artist Yashar who returns for his third appearance. The Iranian producer is fresh off his 2020 Dopamine White offerings 'Aphrodite' and 'Chronos', while also making a contribution to the tenth installment of Soundteller's popular 'Vibrant Vibeland' series. Now delivering his first remix for Dopamine White Yashar caps of the release with his interpretation of 'Kaleidoscope'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original the Iranian artist leans closer to peak time, with a full groove and robust rhythmic core. Striking effects and hypnotic arps sit amidst a layer of atmospheric tension, perfectly setting up an emotive break and groovy finale. An excellent remix from Yashar which caps off an excellent remix edition for Lucas Rossi's 'Systematic' EP.
