@hasvat-informant returns to Amniote Editions under his Intellagama alias with the Reciprocate EP. The HbF capsule sees the Naarm (Melbourne) based producer implant a fusion of sonic explorations; tender wandering synths, washes of twitching percussion, layered aerial textures and pulsing rhythms merge together to full visceral effect.

Heliobolus (@spekkiwebu) and @eastern-distributor feature on the remix tip to dizzying effect, with delicate cuts that build into deep, palpitating odysseys.

The HbF capsule will be unleashed in full force on the 23rd Feb alongside a run of limited edition caps with spiral embroidery designed by Copenhagen based design studio Alexis Mark. The caps will be available for purchase via Proton Records, more info to follow.

‘WAR1209’ finds Ukrainian artist shjva inducing trance states across an album equal parts tripped-out and dubby. Spanning brooding lysergic visions and locked-in dance floor hypnosis, expect drowsily impressionistic soundscapes and darkly cinematic gear across the 9-track duration. Total sonic immersion for the oddballs and the freaks.
 
Terraforming uncharted alien terrain, tracks like ‘X-Side’ and ‘Upper Limit’ descend into sprawling, widescreen exploration. Fathomless landscapes serving as vessels for deep introspection. ‘Enigmatic’, on the other hand, opts for detail and precision-tooled dynamics while retaining that same wide-eyed sense of wonder. Where ‘Dragonfly’ offers fractal fuel for ceremony and ritual, ‘Cloudhopping’ and ‘Psy-Fi Alien Dub’ wade knee-deep through some dub techno murk. Saving the direct and tunnelling for last, 'Banshee' and 'Chrysalis' are like two sides of the same proggy coin; one ominous, the other more optimistic and utopian.

Bio:

Hacobb is an underground dj, producer & designer currently based in Athens. With mixed origins from Scotland & Greece and constantly moving places in his childhood, James found true home to electronic music. Influenced by early trance and prog era, Hacobb productions balance between the lines of progressive house and techno with a focus on abstract atmospheres, driving chord progressions and chunky percussion, to create a blend of timeless melodies & feelings. In his dj sets he wishes to engage the listener-passenger on a deeper mindset, while through different stages of emotions lead to a cathartic experience. Hacobb recently released his debut EP on TH;EN’s ‘Mogador’ imprint followed by a 4 track EP on ‘Another Life Music’ and has a steady schedule of both original releases and remixes lined up ahead. The journey has only just begun.

Constantly moving places in his childhood, James found a true home in electronic music. A lust for seeking something deeper, more expressive yet so esoteric had emerged. Passionate to create his own world through rhythm and sound, a fusion of the future and the past, place Hacobb among a new generation of producers ready to continue the legacy of memorable stories told on the dancefloor.

His debut on Canadian label Modern Agenda turned heads and the big man Sasha had his track ‘All That Injures Lies Within’ on heavy rotation around the globe. Solid releases on labels such as Collective States’ High Tide Recordings and Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music came next, before dropping a single on Booka Shade’s mighty Blaufield imprint, while keeping busy on remix duties for various projects. It wasn’t long after the legendary Pete Tong introduced Hacobb to the BBC Radio 1 audience with his track ‘Kite’, also receiving warm reaction on Days Like Nights radio shows by Dutch hero Eelke Kleijn. More support on his ever expanding discography has followed from the likes of Hot Since 82, Petar Dundov, Anthony Pappa, Nick Muir & Karotte just to name a few.
