No Way Records celebrates its 5th anniversary with a double 12” anthology of pure physical techno, defined by dark and crepuscular atmospheres that pays homage to 1975’s Dario Argento’s masterpiece “Profondo Rosso”. 
The first vinyl is purely dedicated to the energetic Sardinian scene, opened up by DJ Datch and Andrea Cossu’s sharp yet cosmic sounds. On the B side Ness & Kryss Hypnowave on their way to a black and white, hypnotic journey. Commencing the 10th anniversary celebrations with a free compilation entitled Erased Tapes Collection VIII, Erased Tapes also welcomes the iconic Penguin Cafe to the roster amongst tracks from new signing Daniel Brandt (of Brandt Brauer Frick) and Peter Broderick’s duo project Allred & Broderick. It also includes recent compositions by Rival Consoles, A Winged Victory For The Sullen, Ben Lukas Boysen, Douglas Dare and Immix Ensemble & Vessel, as well as a previously unreleased soundcloud.com/ryan-davis remix of Erased Tapes stalwarts Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm which was recently favoured by Aphex Twin and an exclusive edit of Woodkid & Nils Frahm’s score for JR’s Ellis, with spoken words by Robert De Niro.

The Story before: 

When i heard the Album Trance Frendz of Olafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm for the first time, i directly felt a connection to the song they both started together at 00:26. The fine textures of the synths and the subtle evolution in this one-taker brought up the idea of having a version i can play in the late nights on the dance floor but which also would work perfectly for listening in your comfort zone. 

The drums and way of how the remix should flow came naturally and as i had the song standing i layered the original stems here and there to have the track playing in some kind of canon. As i was very happy with my personal version i sent it out to https://soundcloud.com/olafur-arnalds, https://soundcloud.com/erasedtapes & the rest of the participants of this project. Gladly Olafur picked up my remix and forwarded the song to the label which lead to having this unofficial version approved to share with you out there. I hope you like it and thanks to Erased Tapes and all involved for the support :)

Anonymous duo Mercury 200 head to Bipolar Disorder Rec. this November to deliver their latest release
‘Fundamental Relationship’, accompanied by remixes from Umwelt and UVB.
A project that began in 2018, anonymous production duo and live act Mercury 200 have quickly made a name for themselves within the European techno scene, with performances across Paris, London, Berlin, Geneva and Brest alongside the likes of Dax J, Bas Mooy, Ayarcana and Subjected catching the attention of many. Following on from their debut single ‘Another Dimension’ on Berlin’s Ismus earlier this year, here we see the pairing head to Geneva based imprint Bipolar Disorder to deliver their latest effort ‘Fundamental Relationship’, backed by a pair of heavyweight remixes from ever-impressing French duo Umwelt and UVB.
Title cut ‘Fundamental Relationship’ opens proceedings with authority as high octane drum arrangements meet trance-tinged synth melodies and menacing low-end frequencies, whilst Umwelt’s interpretation sees the prolific producer introduce a series of epic builds and breaks alongside hefty kicks and industrial textures.
Next up, second original production ‘Your Favorite Dystopia’ welcomes further soaring synths alongside tripped out vocal hooks and frenzied percussion work, before handing over control to UVB who channels gritty bass licks, crunchy drum shots and a dark, twisting atmosphere throughout his own off-kilter remix.
