AI-31 sees the debut release from a new collaboration between Samuel van Dijk (Netherlands) and Rasmus Hedlund (Finland). Both key proponents to the scene in Northern Europe, they come together with mutual understanding and a common vision to sound. Dialog acts as a conversational exchange that sees the interplay of dynamic frequencies, evocative imagery and contemporary sonic art. Spread across four sides, the album as a whole exists as a kind of metaphysical process, eternally growing and contracting — change is the only constant, marked by a continuous progression of sound and space.  

Expansive, deep, and at moments arresting, Dialog unfolds with sweeping soundscapes and shimmers with tactile sonic details. A chasmic rift of scintillating drone structures, each layer exposes a series of ever-deeper shades. In a play of dynamic dualities, the pair harnesses both earthly materials as well as access to more ethereal dimensions in the music. Side A begins with sub-terrestrial ruptures, gestating in a process of constant elemental changes. Rattling hits sputter amongst a state of nascent chaos, yet continues to be maintained in self-regulating stasis. Side B sets a more introspective tone, whispering with ghostly artefacts and bubbling synth lines, before building into a driving energy of layered field recordings and mechanistic timbres. The essence of form continues to be contested, until it subsides into momentary calm on side C. A cleansing period of soft drones float into the space and the pace slows, washing away remnants of past. The journey continues with side D’s conclusion - a solemn contour that reaches its internal extent, to then finally return to its source.

Throughout summer we’ve had a special moment of joy when we opened our first edition of Ouroboros festival. It’s hard to find the right words to describe the crazy vibes we experienced so we made sure to capture a bit of it to transmit it.

Verveine & Porunñ played together during the Saturday afternoon. This alliance created a floating moment under the bright and warm sun, where the sound became a beautiful energy full of glazed vegetal textures and dissolved tribal rhythms.

For this last episode of 2024, we are delighted to close the year with one of our local bosses @jackyjeane, part of @sarcus_soundsystem and co-founder of @effort-collectif. Passionate about deep and organic rhythms, her mixes are marked by an original energy and a transformative perspective on music as a healing force. Her immersive and contemplative style of mixing takes us deep into the hidden corners of our mind.

This mix is an invitation to take a breath and explore our thoughts and emotions. Profoundly meditative, Jacky Jeane takes us on a hypnotic and mystical spell. Weaving through energetic flows with a progressive narrative, she captures sensations that are both melancholic and introspective. From ambient to downtempo, through bass, deep dubstep and d&b, her mix unfolds like a story with movement and chapters. The shifts in BPM further contribute to creating different temporalities, guiding us through multiple layers of our subconscious.

K.O.P. 32 also known as Pyramid of Knowledge, is a Paris-born, Seoul-based audio engineer and electronic music producer renowned for his innovative fusion of dance music genres. His work, characterized by rich, textured atmospheres and precise drum grooves, has been featured on esteemed labels such as Hard Beach Entertainment, Craigie Knowes, and his own imprint, Beyond the Bridge. In 2021, he launched Beyond the Bridge, providing a platform for his musical vision that explores elements of psychedelia, depth, tribal rhythms, complexity, and darkness. Next in our mix series is our co-founder, Ekkel. From the studio, he delivers a fresh, modern take on ’90s Nordic electronic music—both mind-bending and progressive—diving headfirst into breaks and intricate percussive trips, whether as Ekkel or Alvar. Teo is deeply woven into the Ute-hemisphere, contributing to various musical constellations. With Solar Alliance (with Oprofessionell & Mikkel Rev), he crafts expansive live trance journeys, recorded and arranged in just days. As Ipeo (with Oprofessionell), he fuses ‘90s influences with contemporary twists to create mesmerizing soundscapes. Meanwhile, Accelerationism (with Marius Bø) are renowned for their marathon sets, regularly playing for hours on end. Teo has released several records on the Seoul-based record label, Junction Forest, that showcases his signature blend of groovy, deep and tech infused trance, further cementing his influence in the scene.

For the 100th anniversary episode Teo has put together a three hour odyssey with strictly his own unreleased material. This mix is a collaboration of sorts as Ekkel requested Marius Bø, the curator of the series, to go through his unreleased folders, select the tracks and order, before Ekkel would mix it all together. A journey from dark to light highlighting both the mental groove based parts of his output, to the more sensitive and dramatic.

Hello world,
The time has come to unveil the label's next release in cassette and digital format. The aim of the ACCENTAPE series is to bring two artistic worlds together, to give the listener a sense of the echoes and resonances between musical approaches whose aesthetics are either not so far apart, or on the contrary, sometimes to play on contrasts and offer albums with more depth. For this new release, it's more a question of two worlds criss-crossing and meeting in a softness and light of musical tones made of complementarity and chromatic sensitive reverberations.
Avsluta is a London-based artist, producer and DJ, curator of the Introspective Electronics radio show and podcast series and organiser of Terra Obscura parties with 10 years under her belt at London’s electronic music institution Phonica Records. Apart from her solo work, she is one half of Vādin, a musical project in collaboration with sound artist Christian Duka. She has released music on Indefinite Pitch, Secuencias Temporales and Huinali, and her musical approach is both atmospheric and organic, including field-recording and vocals, tribal and polyrhythmic percussion. Her signature sound is organic, sensitive and bewitching.
Adhémar is a Paris-based artist, painter, producer and DJ whose approach is deliberately synaesthetic, in which he translates pictorial and coloured sensations into ethereal and dreamlike waves. He is also known for his progressive and delicate DJ sets, notably for renowned series such as Monument, Silent Season, Delayed, and has released EPs on labels such as Different Exhibition, Huinali, Initiate, Ritualism, Artscope...
ACCENTAPE009 is an ideal shared album for this new spring season which promises to be sunny and mild, like the budding of trees, the return of birds, and the flowering of nature.
