My 33 1/3 series book about the Aphex Twin album <i>Selected Ambient Works Volume II</i> was published in 2014. The book was one of the top 5 bestselling titles for the calendar year, and in 2015 was ranked by Pitchfork as one of the "33 best" of the 100-plus books in the 33 1/3 series. It has subsequently been translated into Japanese (2019) and Spanish (2018)

Since 2012 I have moderated the Disquiet Junto group, which began on SoundCloud. More at disquiet.com/junto. 

I've written for Nature, Pitchfork, The Wire, Down Beat, Boing Boing, NewMusicBox, Red Bull Music Academy, Art Practical, the website of The Atlantic, and many other publications. 

I've exhibited sound art at galleries in Los Angeles (Crewest), Manhattan (apex art), and Dubai (DUTAC), and I had a audio-visual installation at the San Jose Museum of Art as part of its 45th anniversary.

And since 1996 I've run the website Disquiet.com about the intersection of sound, art, and technology.

I'm from Long Island and i like a lot of shit. I make everything on my phone. My stuff mainly sits in the synthpop, IDM, shitpostpop range, but I like to call my stuff "spergcore" or "spergpop". because thats what it is. i dont believe in slow songs.

Nossa filosofia assume que toda forma de arte deve ser preservada de qualquer abuso em forma de dinheiro ou poder.

Nosso objetivo é colaborar com pessoas que tenham vontade e meios para construir uma sólida base para cooperação a longo prazo, com a intenção de criar uma comunidade saudável e produtiva, que acredita no uso do copyleft e na produção independente.

Al revés is a netlabel formed by artists that work in different areas and contribute mutually in researches, performances and artworks in the field of Sonic Arts. Experimental, as well as Sound-Art, are broad and fluid terms, and they have been a way to describe what we make. But we try not to restrain ourselves within rules and limits of any genres or movements.

Our philosophy assumes that any form of art must be protected from any sort of abuse regarding money or power.

Our goal is to collaborate with people who have the will and the means to build a solid foundation for long-term cooperation, aiming to create a healthy and productive community that supports copyleft and independent productions.
