Joonas Hahmo - Lonkero

After allowing fans to name his next release via a social media poll, Finnish Producer and DJ, Joonas Hahmo introduces 'Lonkero'. The single is named after a Finnish alcoholic drink called Hartwall Original Long Drink, which is nicknamed Lonkero and is of course, Joonas's favorite drink. Fans have taken note of his love affair with the drink consisting of gin and grape juice, with the majority voting it as the most aptly titled name for the new track. 

'Lonkero' is a melody driven single chock full of happy undertones with a euphoric lead. A fluid flowing beat permeates throughout as the complex sounds suddenly slow down halfway in, creating a soulful expression with emotive background lyrics. Just as quickly as the beats slowed down, they quickly arise with catchy hooks and piercing stabs as the bassline closes out the track in a flurry of synth fueled explosions.

Finnish dancefloor stalwart Joonas Hahmo returns with a storming new record that straddles deep vibes and euphoria, with an extra dose of driving percussion shaping its identity. 'African Dreams' draws on hypnotic tribal influences to conjure a bigroom energy with a difference.
   
It’s already secured Hahmo early support from Armin van Buuren, and impressed Above & Beyond so much they invited him for a guest mix on their Group Therapy radio show. 'African Dreams' is a precisely tuned peaktime effort that builds from its foundation of tribal progressive towards one big explosive blast of gorgeous euphoric melody.

 'African Dreams' represents the zenith of 2016 for Hahmo, consolidating the excitement around Tom Fall’s remix of his classic ‘Brainflush’ earlier this year. Joonas Hahmo & Audioventura ‘Tomorrow’

Hahmo Recordings welcomes in the New Year with a driving melodic trancer that sees label boss Joonas Hahmo collaborating with Finnish newcomer Audioventura, who returns to the label after making a rather impressive debut with ‘The Beach’ last year, a record that earned a requisite nod from the benevolent leader of the trance scene himself, Armin van Buuren.

‘Tomorrow’ is a record that reinforces the Hahmo Recordings reputation of fusing polished studio work, deeper progressive vibes as well as euphoric mainstage trance. Drawing on those afore mentioned deeper vibes in its introduction, there’s a quick shift into turbo-charged grooves after the drop, with its powered bassline ensuring ‘Tomorrow’ isn’t left wanting for energy. The lush melody that’s welcomed in the breakdown draws on the ‘80s nostalgia that’s defined seminal Hahmo records like ‘Cocktail Bar.’

It’s the combination of cleverly executed ideas and studio polish that gives ‘Tomorrow’ its edge. Initially a musical concoction from Audioventura that he’d written in the hope of releasing on Hahmo Recordings, his label boss saw the potential for something even more special after an early listen, inspiring the studio collaboration that led to the level of sonic polish that can be heard in the final product.
