This is an idea for a community project that involves video game soundtrack remixes/reimaginings. I'm not super skilled at composition or arrangement, so finding a song that I could reasonably cover proved tricky. A good friend came through in a pinch with the idea to try and work with something from the Bastion soundtrack...leave it to him to give me an idea that's been staring me right in the face this whole time. >_<

I decided to try and cover the track "Spike in a Rail". I removed the electronic trip-hop percussion, changed the key slightly (guitar's tuned to BF#BF#BB), wrote some lyrics and vocals inspired by the game, and gave it an acoustic backwoods stomp. I didn't transcribe the guitar lines note for note, since I felt kind of impatient and didn't want to just burn time tracing the original. But I did try and carry over at least the simple, base feeling of the main riffs.
