In September 2010 I was on tour in the US visiting San Francisco. So did Pepe Bradock. Jack Wang from Stanford's University Radio KZSU 90.1 FM kindly invited us to his show.
I played for the first two hours then Pepe took over.

All my life I've wanted to visit Japan. In december 13' I went on a 12 day trip to Tokyo, Osaka & Kyoto with my friend Rikki. The organized-chaos, the preservance of the old among the new, the humility, yet the overall vibrant energy, the politeness, the dedication to sound and music & the indescribable tastes were among the many we observed & experienced with appreciation & respect. Japan's a special place. I will try to go back. 
During the trip we visited three record stores, Technique & Lighthouse in Tokyo and Japonica in Kyoto. It felt good to experience "the surprise factor" again shopping in actual stores. I picked up some tunes that I have been enjoying and wanted to put together a mix as an ode to this special place & the trip.
We had the chance to watch the rising sun on Jan 1, with some friends that we lost track of.
Thank you Japan ! See you again.
