Roo - August 2021

Born in 1993 , Leonardo Passanti aka @hollyspleef is a skater, producer, sound designer and part-time gardener who hails from Bagnocavallo. Thanks to his training carried out both in Italy and abroad - with extended stays in London, New York and Los Angeles - he had the opportunity to explore new soundscapes and collaborate with artists from the most diverse backgrounds. 

The album 'Garden Grooves' is the result of these explorative stays and is an organic journey into a garden of grooves, where seeds of improvisational jazz blur and blossom with ambient hip hop, house and dub sounds.

As a part of @funclab-records Collective, comprised of Sound designers, producers, DJs and electronic music enthusiasts alike, Ayce Bio, Turenne and Prev hail out of Milan, Italy. Their sets vary from clubbing tunes to easy-listening records and their live shows are a blend of visual nostalgia and sonic experimentation.

Joining her is Phuture Shock Musik head Josiah who delivers a mix of tracks exclusively from the label in the second hour. Downtempo, deep flavours and broken beat across the two hours.

Today marks the launch of Altitude's new mix series: Altitude Audio.

In pole position is Finn, who brings us an hour of groove infused house beats from the likes of Joe Corti, Coeo and Niles Cooper. This mix is packed full of feel-good flavours ready to warm you all up in these chilly winter months.

"Operation Brotherhood" is Franco's words to describe how he perceive the social relations around him, a way to keep things friendly and, most importantly, create a human experience more than anything else. Two artists being on the same wavelength is something magical and this is what Franco is all about : Creating magic !

Its such an honor for me to present the first episode of the PARODIAMIX series  with no other than legend Franco Falsini. 
I've been a huge huge fan of his work for italian prog/psych rock Sensations Fix in the 70's and also of his Techno label Interactive Test, co-founded with his brother Riccardo Falsini. A good occasion to discover his work if you're not familiar with it !

I was lucky enough to meet Franco while he was in Paris and we spent some time together, eventually we managed to play a surreal b2b, recorded at the Rinse France studios. Franco played only releases from the amazing Interactive Test catalogue, and I played some stuff that might come out soon on my label Parodia.
