ZEROlav Awards 2025: Underrated Artist/Track showcase

The traveler slams into the hardwood floor of a man's bedroom. The resident, a twenty-year-old man named Thomas, is in the worst bind of his life. He's fallen in love with his pen pal of ten years and wants nothing more than to confess his feelings. The problem? His pen pal, a 21-year-old named Aubrey, has just broken up with their partner of five years. As much as Thomas knows that they need plenty of time to heal, he's worried Aubrey may get over their partner and get with someone else before he has a chance to tell them how he feels. The traveler, making full use of their wits (and their patience), helps Thomas write a series of letters and text messages to be sent in five month's time. As the final period is written, a flash of yellow fills the room as the traveler is dragged away from the potential future lovers.

The traveler opens their eyes to nothing. No light, no air, no feeling. They try to jolt themself about but are met with shocking pain throughout their entire body. Briefly, a glowing green figure can be seen during these flashes of pain. The traveler, assuming this omnious entity is somehow related to their agony, determines the being must be frightened. In an attempt to calm it, the traveler attempts to call out to the creature, only to find it has no voice. The traveler, slowly and depite every nerve in their body fighting against them, reaches out their hand towards this glow. The pain ceases and a warmth is felt across their palm. A small wisp of green light passes between each finger of the traveler and dances along their arm up to their face. The light taps the tip of the traveler's nose and in an instant the traveler finds themself elsewhere.

The traveler finds themself in an era long before our own. There's whispers across the town that the general is going to send many of the lower class citizens to fight in the war, one which many believe to be unnecessary. The traveler makes their way up to the castle to confront him. Upon fighting for the people, the general calls for the nearby guards to arrest the traveler, thus initiating a chase. The traveler flees back into the city, evading and making fools of the guards after them. This sight inspires the locals to fight back themselves. The guards finally corner the traveler in an alleyway, and as they work their way towards them, a stale bread roll slams into the back of one of the guards' heads. An all-out assault ensues as the traveler is flung into another timeline.

The second edition of AMFLARA's "GENRE BLENDER" series challenged our community to compose a song from start to finish in a randomly assigned genre submitted by another participant in the compilation. After eighteen months since the first volume, the long awaited second  volume is here, carefully curated with the following 22 tracks made by 24 unique artists that we believe represent the AMFLARA motto: Creative anarchy. From Shoegaze to Deconstructed Club to Piepcore, this compilation features a wide variety of music styles done by talented musicians with a passion for what they do, ensuring the best possible listening experience for you.
