Combining ethereal vocals, uplifting instrumentation weaving acoustic with electronic together, and energetic breakbeats, wideEyed is an emotional and character-driven dancefloor shaker. Being a bold showcase of a distinct and creative sound, this single, and more broadly PRESCIA’s music, is something you will not want to miss out on.

“Instrumentally, wideEyed is a great representation of what I want to achieve with my sound. I take heavy inspiration from the UK drum and bass scene, and I also love incorporating sounds of singer-songwriter music (artists like Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers) into bass music.” said PRESCIA. “However, at the end of the day, I just wanna experiment and make music that leaves me satisfied without stressing too much. Had the time of my life producing and recording wideEyed, and I’m glad this serves as an introduction to PRESCIA!”

“Lyrically, the song is about overall viewpoints I have on the bass music scene as someone who’s more of an ‘outsider’. I never really listen to the common genres that are beloved in the scene such as dubstep, although I do have respect for the genre. Seeing discussions online and how some fans seem to derive quality from sound design or loudness leaves me nervous to release music sometimes. While I wouldn’t brush aside my music as being ‘generic’ (I love my music, I work really hard), there is this fear I have in the scene where my music won’t get attention because I’m not doing anything groundbreaking.”

The lyrics move by pretty fast, but they sum up how I believe people perceive bass music in the modern day, and portray my thoughts whenever my head gets in the way of making music. While I hate dealing with this topic and staying on it for too long, it was, in a way, therapeutic to let out my thoughts in a song. I hope you enjoy! <3”
