Tan Taigi was a haiku poet of the Edo period. He was a wanderer for most of his life and admired by Yosa Buson for his ability to transcend his eclectic and unconventional lifestyle with sublime poetry.

built a chord from a square wave into a clock divider and mixing 4/5/6/7 divisions back together, each division vca with a random looping envelope

as per the prompt, run through a high pass filter to keep things bright and breezy

mult the result and pass copies, again independently random envelope vca, through various effects (delay, granular, reverb) and mix back together

The Assignment: Make some daylight drones for Drone Day.

Step 1: May 25 each year is Drone Day, more about which at droneday.org. This Junto project begins before Drone Day, on the 23rd, and ends after, on the 27th. So, take Drone Day in spirit if not as a calendrical certainty.  

Step 2: Think about drones, and the tonality they suggest.

Step 3: Think about making drones that suggest daylight instead of, say, darkness.

Step 4: Record a “day drone” in light of the thinking you did in Step 3.
